Item stopped working only after less than a month of use and beyond my return window!!!!!
We have either a squirrel or mouse problem of chewing through the gas lines on our cars in the driveway. I cannot testify whether this device will scare them away but I can say it does what it says it will do. The manual that comes in the box does not read correctly. It reads... "if adapter is unplugged, the item will keep working, the PIR sensor will not work". When I read this my thought was what good is the solar charge if it needs to be plugged in for the PIR (infrared sensor) to work? Their customer service said it would still work. Being confused and not knowing which was correct I ran my own experiment. First the unit seemed to work whenever I walked by it but I wanted to be sure. Standing inside my garage, where the unit could not sense me, I rolled a 16.9oz. bottle filled with cold/room temperature water out of the garage and past the unit. The unit did not sound the alarm or flash the light. Next I rolled a 16.9oz bottle filled with hot water out of the garage and past the unit. The unit sounded the alarm and flashed the light. Both experiments were conducted while the unit was unplugged. I repeated this several times and it passed each time. I haven't tested a small 1-2oz bottle with hot water. This would represent the size of a mouse and therefore test how sensitive the unit is to a small heat signature. Overall though I have to say my experience is that is does what it claims it will do. I am probably going to buy a second one for the other side of the driveway in front of my garage.

Jury is out. Not sure about product durability.
I received the Izbie a few weeks ago and have been using it. Product quality is not what I expected - with the "speaker" exposed without any protection, I am not sure if this thing will last long as a stray rock or even a slight bump may ruin the speaker. I also wrote an email to the manufacturer with some questions about the motion detection as the instruction manual was not very clear. It's been almost a month now and I have not heard anything from them. The battery life is not great and I need to plug it in to recharge the battery often. As far as effectiveness, the jury is still out - we "think" there's a decrease in rodents digging holes in our lawn, but we need more time to adequately evaluate.

Cats ignore them after a week or two
Worked great for neighborhood cats for about a week or two, before they started to ignore them. They were still going off in the yard for at least a year in the AZ sun.

No More Windshields Slicked with Bird Poop
Unfortunately, our inspection period of our new house did not include time to observe the robins and their propensity to blanket outside cars with their poop. I'd wash the cars and would hear them in the trees, angrily reprimanding me for disturbing them. Minutes afterwards, I'd look out the window to find 5-6 of these scoundrels happily defecating on the car from nose to tail - almost as if it were an intent to spread poop equally across the entire automobile. "Leave no panel unspoiled" seemed to be their motto. I purchased 2 of these deterrents and they were delivered quickly. As I was positioning it, a robin was sitting on our adjacent car, apparently scoffing at my efforts. I turned it up to 5, and he let out an alarmed squawk; they've never been seen since. No more morning crap parties, no robins eying me through the window of my office, and then turning around and dropping a deuce on the windshield. NOTES: It initially creates a very unsettling high-pitched sound, and then goes into silent mode until the motion sensor detects movement. It's quite sturdy and can be left out in 20 degree temps. The solar panel seems to work well. I've only tested this for birds.

This Animal Repeller Worked Exceptionally Well: For Only 24 Days
I really don't like cats. And I am not just referring to the musical.Cats are dirty. They smell. They get into everything. They make horrid noises that wake me up in the middle of the night. They leave piles of smelly kittens under my stairs. Our neighborhood has feral cats. Lots of them. Mangy, smelly, loud, feral cats. They get into everything. They dig up my lawn. They shed hair and leave their scent as they try to mark their territory. My kids couldn't go into the backyard without first having to battle for domination.I really don't like cats.I have tried everything to get rid of them.Animal Control for my local city refused to touch them.Cat repellent powder must be re-applied every time it rains. And it is hard to train squirrels as an elite paramilitary anti-cat ninja team.So I turned to Amazon and found this Electronic Animal Repeller. AND, after finding the right frequency, the cats were GONE. It was wonderful. The birds, squirrels, 'possums, raccoons, armadillos, hedgehogs, and cows are also gone, but I digress. No cats. Anywhere. Gone.I wept for joy.Unfortunately, my kids wouldn't go into the backyard anymore. They kept complaining about some high-pitched screeching sound that made them want to run away. I could hear it too, but only when I was standing in the "blast zone". And more importantly, the cats were GONE.But alas, the victory was short lived. One lovely fall morning, 24 days after installation, my beautiful Wife looked out the back window and said, "There is a cat under the trampoline".I started weeping again, but this time it wasn't for joy.I went out to check the Animal Repeller. It was turned on. But there was no sound. And the cats are back.
