Wasn't sure at first... Now I love it.
When I first got it, I thought I was purchasing the smaller bottle by Amphipod (poor reading on my part, nothing to do with the seller). I decided to try it out, as it was the middle of summer, and I figured I could always buy the smaller one for runs that wouldn't be as long.It took a second to get used to, but now that I've been using it for a couple of months, I absolutely love it. It takes zero effort to carry, and it is ridiculously easy to drink out of while running. That may sound silly, but I have had issues with previous water bottles, that I have to stop running just to figure out how to open it and drink out of them without pouring it all over me. This is so easy to open, and close, that it feels like second nature. I haven't gone on a run since purchasing this without bringing it along. When I first ordered it, I didn't think I would ever use the zip pouch. I don't use it very often, but when I have something that I need to keep (like if my rings are driving me bonkers), I hate using the tiny pockets that come in my running shorts, and this is a great perk!As far as keeping the water cool, I've found it's completely dependent on how hot it is outside - as with most water bottles. If it's 90+ and extra humid, the ice melts almost immediately (and honestly, when it's that hot, I don't mind the condensation dripping on me), but when it's cooler out, it stays cool for most of my run.I would definitely recommend this product, and plan on purchasing more!

Love it
So long wasting energy grabbing and holding on to a bottle. Slide it over your fingers and away you go. It could be a little more insulated to stay cold longer but I just put it in the fridge in the morning so it’s good and cold and by my evening run it’s stays pretty well

Mostly Good
This is a solid little bottle. The shape is very contoured which I prefer over a log shaped bottle. It initially seemed like they sent me a smaller size than what I ordered, but yep, I checked and it does hold 20oz. My only complaint is the bottom part of the grip's strap, where it loops around the bottle, somehow wiggles it's way off the bottle, leaving me carrying it by the top loop only. You can re-loop it without too much hassle (though it still takes you 15 sec), but I have yet to find why it does this. I ran a marathon the first time I used it, and it fell off at least 5 or 6 times. It may be adjustable to where it stops.

Mold will grow in the top
The product works fine, the issue comes in cleaning it. The top is impossible to clean because it doesn’t come apart. Black mold is already growing between the part of the tip that sides up and down and I can’t get it out. I even went so far as to bend/break a toothpick to get it in there and it didn’t work. It gets thoroughly rinsed after every use and even with a scrub brush you can’t get to these areas to get the mold out. Black mold growing on water bottles is not new in the running world, it’s why things are made to be completely taken apart and dried. I can’t believe I fell for this, but I figured it was a good bottle for the price, not rotomolded nonsense. Now I’m searching for a cap that’s not the lowest quality so I don’t have to throw the rest of the thing away.

A non-annoying alternative to water belts
So, I wanted an alternative to the water belt that I had been using. I hate water belts. They bounce, twist around, restrict my movement and are annoying overall. I went with the 12oz bottle instead of the larger 20oz variety. It doesn't slip out of my hand. It has a zippered pouch to carry a credit card or ID, which comes in handy when purchasing your post run beers. it's not heavy, it's easy to refill quickly, the spout closes shut (no drip or spillage) and it's easy to drink from. And it doesn't interfere with my arm swing during my runs.So far, I have used it on runs as long as 10 miles, with zero problems.I would definitely recommend this item.

This is exactly what I wanted. Almost.
I have been running with a small, 12 ounce Fuel Belt hand held bottle for a little while now. After a painfully hot summer, and being caught half way through a long run without enough fluid, I decided to upgrade to the big guns. I saw this bottle featured in a section of Runner's World and thought it looked just about perfect. In theory it totally is, but in practice it's got some oddities to work out. Firstly, I am the kind of runner that just runs, until I am done, the end. I don't like to stop, mostly because I am afraid my legs will sabotage me and I won't be able to get them going again. Legs can be jerks that way. I don't love stopping at water stations, and I also don't love trying to hop along while sipping Gatorade from a tiny cup only to have to splash up my nose and probably into my eye sockets a little bit. Handhelds do the trick for me.So a couple of things in the pro section: It's not that heavy, even filled all the way up. Liquid does slosh around, but being liquid, that's kind of what it does. Until physics comes up with a way to spontaneously change the properties of matter within a plastic water bottle, that's pretty much what's going to happen. It is easy to drink from, and the top is easy to close too. I mostly pull it open with my teeth, and have to close it with my palm. The straps are easy to adjust, and it fit comfortably in my hand. The neoprene sleeve is nice. A lot nicer than just holding a plastic bottle in your sweaty paw while trying to maintain pace, hydration, and not trip over things. Finally, it holds just enough fluid for my long runs (12-15 miles currently), is easy to get apart, and easy to clean. Some cons: The zipper pocket is great, if great were code for basically useless, and hard to access. It's Alice in Wonderland-y, and seems like it should be big inside, but it's functionally very small. I attempted to put two Hammer Gel packets in there, and could just about get them to fit, but couldn't get it to zip. I finally settled on one gel just to see how it went. It fit fine, but trying to get it out of there while on my run felt like an effort in insanity. I'm sure it would be a wonderful pouch for items like keys, money, identification, and basically things one would not need to access while actually in motion. So the pouch, not so much. Also, the straps that hold all of this stuff to the actual bottle, while they seem tight, slid around a lot during running. At one point the bottom strap slid completely off and left the bottle dangling.Ultimately, this bottle is a good idea, and everything seems functional, well put together, and well designed...until you run with it. At $24.00 I was kind of hoping for a more user friendly experience, and less of a trying to make it work for my needs one.
