## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it write smoothly and is ink flow well controlled?**
A: Yes - it's a great pen. A little heavy but really a good performer especially considering the price. It feels like a quality pen. Regarding ink flow, I have had no problems with it at all. Even after a couple of days rest, it still writes immediately and smoothly. I have £150+ pens that don't do that!

**Q: Will this work well with Indian ink?**
A: I would not recommend Indian ink in any fountain pen. It tends to dry and block the pen. Use any black fountain pen ink.

**Q: Can I use Indian ink  in this pen?**
A: Hi, carbon bottled ink like Indian ink will clog fountain pen easily. I recommend you to use non carbon bottled ink like Parker or waterman.

**Q: Would this take Parker Long Quink cartidges if you remove the converter?**
A: Nope.  You need to buy the China standard cartridges *I think* they have an aperture of 3.4mm rather than the standard European aperture, which is smaller.  This is the bit of cartridge that you push into the pen, which is punctured to allow the ink to flow.  If you attempt this with a parker refill (European standard),it just won't fit - it's like trying to put a car tyre on a bicycle!
You can buy the China standard cartridges online,   they are about the same as normal ones price wise, or you could buy the diamine ink that comes in a plastic bottle small enough to go into a pencil case, and so far has stood up to the abuse it gets daily in my bag

The weight is just right, the grip is lovely, and the fine nib suits my form. Considering the price compared to other fountain pens on the market, this pen is very reasonably priced and definitely worth buying. However, there are a few things potential buyers should know. The pen is slightly heavier than expected. While this may suggest durability, it does not necessarily give a premium feel. In hand, it feels more like holding a solid metal pen rather than a refined, luxury writing instrument. I chose the Extra Fine nib, and it absolutely met my expectations. The nib is genuinely extra fine and produces a precise, clean line. If you prefer thin writing, this nib performs very well. The carbon fibre-style exterior looks noticeable up close, but from a distance it doesn’t strongly resemble real carbon fibre. There is a slight difference between the product photos and how the pen feels in real life. One important detail: the cap opens quite stiffly. With an extra fine nib, a user who is unfamiliar with fountain pens should be careful when removing the cap, as applying too much force could potentially risk damaging the nib. In terms of ergonomics, the pen has a fully round grip section and, combined with its weight, you may find yourself holding it a bit more firmly while writing. Because of the weight and the neutral grip design, it may not develop a very distinctive writing character for long writing sessions. That said, while it may not become your primary signature pen, it works well as a secondary pen for specific ink colours and is a nice piece to keep on your desk for occasional use.
