They are kinda small so they are really easy to swallow. I bought these for the summer months when I don't need quite as much vitamin D, but they are also good to maintain proper vitamin D levels once my vitamin D level is normal. If my vitamin D gets too low, I need something stronger. When my vitamin D levels get too high from taking stronger pills, I can't sleep well and I get too manic, so I take these instead. This is a great product and a trusted company. I highly recommend these to maintain vitamin D levels and they work as they should if taken daily with a meal that has some fat in it (Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin). Also, they are not sticky and they don't smell.
