Want to use with power adapter.** A: It has an 18 watt rating so 18w ÷ 12v = ~1.5 amps. After setting my rectifier to 12 volts it drew 1.15 amps so you're probably safe between 1 and 1.5 amps **Q: Could I use this on my sail boat? The tanks are in a propane locker.** A: I would say no. I'm no propane expert, but I believe the mechanical relief valve on a standard BBQ style propane tank is close to 300psi (call a gas shop to be sure for your application). This is rated 72psi for gases, so probably best to look for something with a higher pressure rating. **Q: I want to remote mount this, are there threaded mounting holes in the valve?** A: Cool thankjs for the question. The holes are 5mm and 1/2 deep. But US 10/32 screws fit also. Warning the holes are about 1/8 BELOW the surface, therefore you need a couple tiny washers for spacers to flush mount it. I remote mount it and run alcohol thru it as a "High Rpm Lean" Works great. Warning the solenoid has a .156" hole for fuel flow. You must test to see if your flow is enough. Funny Car Guy. What flyback diode is recommended to prevent damage to other components in the circuit?** A: It Has to handle the same current as the operating current. I would recommend a 1n5400 or 1n5402. I wouldn’t use anything under 2A continuous and less than 20V reverse bias voltage. Works great along side a little 12v pump to refill the smaller truck tank faster than relying on gravity feed alone. It does get pretty warm to the touch. So far no good.
