## Questions & Answers

**Q: what is the black material made of?**
A: metal.  these are really good -- I use them for clamping wires under my car dash.

**Q: what is the width of the frame?**
A: It's 5/8ths wide. Frame is 1/16th thick.

**Q: What is the thread spec for using a socket head set screw?  Neither 1/4-20 nor 1/4-28 fits.**
A: It was too big for the project, so we didn’t use it. However, we didn’t have either, we had a thumb screw.

**Q: Can anyone tell me the size of threaded shaft diameter. I need to clamp something that is .650 diameter and I need the face of the shaft smaller.**
A: My caliper gives me .232" so the threaded shaft is 1/4" or just under in diameter. I believe it to be 1/4-28 as the threads are a too fine to thread through a 1/4-20 nut. Unfortunately I don't have a 1/4-28 nut to confirm.
