Although my indoor setup is well within the 230 meters from the gate controls (mine is about 50 meters at the most), the operation was inconsistent. It may work one day and not that afternoon. One additional tip I would offer is when you are setting up the TC196, the "paring" sequence MUST be done as fast as possible. It took me multiple tries to get it programmed. Again, after solving the issues with the TC196, all the operations of the gate and related components appear to be working as expected.
