I plugged it into an available USB port, connected the monitor, and it came on immediately. No complicated setup, no hassle, and I did not have to manually install any drivers. This adapter made it simple to add my Sceptre monitor to the rest of my setup, and I really appreciate how easy it was to get everything working. I plan on adding another monitor to the other side of my desk for symmetry, and I will definitely be purchasing another one of these soon. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the condition it arrived in. The package looked like it had been crushed or run over, and the USB connector was slightly smashed with some scratches and scrapes. I did not feel like going through the return process, so I carefully fixed the connector myself with a flathead screwdriver. After that, it worked perfectly. To be clear, I do not believe this was the seller’s fault. It seemed more like a shipping or handling issue, likely on Amazon’s side.
