They are no so weak as to not make a significant magnification. They are not too large so that they won't fit in a jacket pocket. With the strap they are not so small as to get lost. They are easy to focus are not imposing looking as to look menacing. They are not super expensive as to be a hardship if lost or forgotten. Because of this they get used often. They have had no issues. I have owned them about 4 months. I have now purchased several as gifts. Hope this helps!
