In an attempt to semi waterproof them.** A: It will work, though the extra layer will dull the color underneath with a cloudy/milky grayish film and is more expensive compared to other options. I used transparent top sticker layer experimenting with toner foils for a interesting layered effects on stickers, if you don't mind the cloudy darkened appearance underneath. Using thermal laminate pouches would be ideal for best clarity and cost. You would need a thermal laminator which is not so expensive and quite useful for toner foil application. Acrylic spray is another cheap quick option to semi waterproof, specially ink prints on paper stickers. If you plan on outdoor use without uv protection using standard ink, expect the sticker to fade within months in sunlight. Second best would be single sided self adhesive cold laminate sheets, make sure to have a squeegee tool or laminator that allows for cold setting.
