Love, Love, Love
these are beautiful boots. not sure they are worth the price but they are the nicest boots of this style I have ever seen. Frye boots usually seem to run narrow and long, at least that has been my past experience. These boots are no exception ... they look narrow but they are not but they are extra long. I recommend ordering a full size down from your usual (maybe a half size if acceptable if you plan to wear thick socks). I have very, very large calves and usually have problems with tall boots. These are about 15" circumference and actually do clear my calves so that's a big plus! I normally wear orthotic inserts in my boots for extra arch support but, with Frye boots, this doesn't work very well because there is a shape to the footbed (unlike in most other lower-quality shoes) that make an insert fit strangely. Another reason to order down a size. Remember these are pull on boots ... so no zipper ... and, at first, they really are a bit of a bear to get on and off but, from past experience, I know that gets much better over time. In short, it takes some time and patience to find a Frye boot that's perfect for your foot ... a few exchanges are usually necessary for me ... and some break-in is to be expected. But, in the end, when you have "gloves for your feet", it's SO worth the trouble! I give 3 stars because everybody who reviews Frye boots says the same thing ... the sizing is just off and it's frustrating to have to order 3 pairs to find the right size ... once you do, it's 5 stars all the way!

I want to buy ALL THE FRYE BOOTS!
I've never owned nice boots before, so I was a little nervous to spend a lot of money on these. Luckily, my size was on sale and I got them for about 60% off the regular price, and now that I've had them for a few weeks, I would definitely say they are worth paying the original listed price. The cognac color is beautiful and rich, the leather is soft yet feels sturdy, and they fit perfectly. I am a size 8.5 in most shoes, but the other reviews said to order a half size down for this boot, and I found the 8 to fit me perfectly. The calves are a bit adjustable, but they seemed to fit me just right out of the box, with a little room to tuck in jeans. I've just worn them with some light wool socks, but there's room to wear with some regular cotton athletic socks or slightly heavier wool socks as well.I wore them for a couple weeks with some bandaids on my pinky toes to prevent blisters, but overall the break-in process was rather painless. The toe box doesn't feel narrow, I just have weird pinkie toes, so I wouldn't say everyone would have this issue. The boots are fine now and I don't need the bandaids anymore. I wear these while standing all day and walking up and down three flights of stairs 8-10 times per day, they're very comfortable and surprisingly easy to walk in, considering I've never worn any sort of heel in my life.Definitely glad I purchased these!

Don't hesitate!!
I've been watching these boots for months. I wear boots everyday so I had to make sure my money was well spent. These boots did not disappoint!! I read every review and looked at too many pictures before making the purchase. Luckily I waited til they dipped in price before I pulled the trigger.First of all the leather is of pure quailty, and I know these will wear so nicely with age. I wear a size 7 in every shoe I put on so was reluctant to read they ran large considering most Fryes run narrow. I ordered both a 6 1/2 and a 7. The 7's fit too big, my ankle comes up when I walk even with thick socks. But the 6 1/2 is perfect, even in thick socks! They fit over my skinny jeans even though I have a wider calf. The calf circumstance is always an issue when I buy tall boots. The buckles make it so I can control how loose they fit. The heel is the perfect height and chunk for a stable walk. I cannot wait to break these in for everyday wear. Judging by my first day in them it shouldn't be too long before they're 100% comfortable. Had I read my own review beforehand I would've ordered them sooner. Will definitely be returning the 7 and possibly ordering another color! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

If you're a real girl, read this.
I've been lusting for Frye boots for years. Years. Finally I pulled the trigger, and honestly couldn't be happier. I'm 5,3" and 150 lbs however I'm pretty equally proportioned and have a hard time with boots because of my calves. They are 15 1/2 to 16. Therefore boots scare me. These are slouch boots so the calf is thinner, however they fit perfectly and have give in the top "belt" if you need more room. They fit like a normal boot and only have a little "slouch" effect when put on. This may be more of an effect with more use. I usually wear a 9 1/2 but got a 10 and they are great- for the reason of putting and insole in. The arch is fantatic but the footbed will need a little cushion. I never spend money like this but honestly worth it. I just worked a 6 hour bartending shift in them and had to write this review to say how pleased I am. Can't wait to put an insole in them, then PERFECTION!!!!!

These deliver!
I consider myself to have pretty average calves at 15", but it is so hard to find boots that fit! These really truly do fit and with room to spare. They felt a bit narrow in the toe box for me, but I have short and wide flippers, probably not average, so I had a cobbler stretch the toe box. Worth the money for sure! Very pleased so far! At 5'3", they fit a bit higher than I hoped for, relative to the bottom of my knee/top of my calf, but may slouch lower as they break in, as other reviewers experienced. Either way, I still love them. Easy fit under jeans and I could probably fit skinny jeans inside, definitely leggings easily. I ordered a half size larger than usual, thinking I would need it for the calf, but really don't, but glad I did for my wide feet. Plenty of room for thick socks or insteps as needed. Can't go wrong with Frye.

I absolutely love these boots
I absolutely love these boots! They fit perfectly and are super comfortable. I ordered the 6.5, I typically take a 7 if half sizes aren't available, but these boots fit perfectly and they're soooo nice!
