Edit 1 year later: My Mucksters finally wore through to the point where they were absorbing water, but I definitely got several hundred, if not a thousand or more miles of walking with them. I could see these lasting a literal lifetime of someone just using them in their backyard/garden. I bought another pair, and 2 weeks in I've worn them for over 100 miles. No noticeable wear yet. I'm being more conscious of not dragging my feet and it seems to make a huge difference in longevity. My only minor complaint about these boots is that, if you walk a ton like me, there's just not enough support in the soles. My toes and arches can get a bit achy, but not terribly so, and I'm sure a nice insole would eliminate that problem. Overall a very solid buy. If you can get them under $100, even better. There are very few boots in any price range that perform as well while remaining as comfortable.
