This is my first time trying the product and it does appear to be the same opaque product. I don’t think it is conterfeit or used. It definitely could be packaged better with a plastic overlay on the box. As for the effectiveness of the product, I used it as a face mask that I left on for 20 min. It rinses easily and skin is left feeling tighter but not stripped or dry. You do not have to use a lot to create a mask so this product at 7 oz. will last a long time.
