I also use gold bond healing on top during the day, then a night cream on top for nighttime. This cream is soothing, fragrance free, sting free,vwith a hardly noticeable scent. A good daily moisturizer, but I also apply a heavier moisturising ointment over it at bedtime. And, I don't use it continuously due to 3% salycylic acid content, as I don't want to risk more skin irritation. I use it intensively for a week or so, then have a break and use something different.
