For example, I have a music book that requires at least an inch to sit at a proper music-reading angle. The tray's edge is only one cm wide, so I will have to secure the book to the with a rubber band or clip to prevent the book from falling down. Please improve on that? A flash drive can be attached and reads only mp4 files if that helps. **Q: is this safe for a projector to not slide right off?? also is there straps some one wouls recommend to strap it down??** A: It has a textured surface and holds my projector very well without slipping. Of course in a hard angle may not be the case and you can use straps if you like. I see where that could work well. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this solid enough to support a small (approximately 12 square inches) 13 lb mixer?** A: Yes- I would advise you to go to a local crafts store, purchase the 1/8" thick rubber project squares (11" by 11") with the self-adhesive back, and attach a good sized portion to the bottom of the mixer, to ensure it stays put. **Q: Is it possible to add a second tray to this stand?** A: Not very easily. There is nothing on the stand as provided onto which a second tray could be attached.
