Can they slide in between the bearing and a fairly tight location?** A: The small grippers are ⅛” thick, the larger 3/16. They are of soft enough metal to rework with a file if necessary. **Q: What is the reach on this tool. In other words how far down a shaft will this reach to pull a bearing.** A: This is for smaller, light work. The max reach on the big puller is maybe 7 inches.
