I have also wondered if my overweight cat is sitting on my keyboard after I have gone to bed because I keep finding cat 'glitter' on my desk and keyboard. There are no instructions in the box that I found, but I did find helpful keyboard and mouse light instructions on the bottom of the box. The combo I purchased it bright,the casings are clear and the keys are purple. If you tip the keyboard over you can see the inside of the keyboard and on the mouse you can see the mechanics of the mouse from the sides. I found the mouse to be a little bit large for my hand. It is not as contoured as much as my previous mouse. I found the sides where you lay your thumb and pinky to be thicker than what I am used to. However, it is easy to use and just by going into setting you can make the mouse faster or slower. All you need to do is plug both into your computer. No need to download anything for use. Both are really lightweight. I would like to point out, much like many, many other keyboards - if you eat while you are on the computer, make sure you do not get crumbs on the keyboard. This is going to be a nightmare to clean. There is no silicone membrane keeping liquids, dust or crumbs out of the tiny areas. In the description it state water-resistant, I do not know if I would want to trust that, but I do have to say that this keyboard has the underside of the keys covered unlike my previous keyboads. So it might buy you enough time to quickly clean your mess before anything happens. I like the length of the keyboard which is 17 to 17.5 inches long. I do not like those compact ones.
