**Q: Do the grooves for the stand work well?**
A: The stand works very well. It is three strips of leather (?) sewn down but they are raised high enough to hold tablet quite well.

**Q: Will this product fit the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 with S-pen model that is being released at the end of October?**
A: NO! I just received this and it was too small for my Samsung Tab A 10.1 with S-pen I received in nov 2016

**Q: Will it fit the samsung t580?  I don't know what the pen model is???**
A: Yes it will fit the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet SM-T580 & T-585. I'm not sure what you mean by the second part of your question but I think if your asking about the pen holder, they all come with a pen holder and ball point pen, no matter which case you buy. If you already have a stylus then that may go in the holder if you prefer.

**Q: Can the stand be used in a portrait mode?**
A: It can if u want to look at it at 180 degrees there is no tilt
