The display is helpful and informative. On the 40A version, the thick and heavy cord makes the charger slightly less portable, but it's great to be able to charge at a full 40A when you have a capable supply circuit.I ordered this for the flexibility to charge at a lower rate, so as not to overload the older wiring in my garage. From reading the description and reviews, I couldn't tell if it had one important feature: the ability to remember the charge current setting after a power failure. I wondered, if I set it to charge at 20A or 24A, would the unit revert to its maximum setting of 40A whenever it was unplugged?
