The Chef's Precision line of thermometers offers professional-grade results with at-home ease. The Instant Read Thermometer provides quick, accurate measurements (in Degree and Degreec) for cooked meat by simply inserting the probe until the shaded area is covered. The rapid-responding, bi-metallic coil provides a quick temperature readout on the easy-to-read Thermometer face. The probe cover has chef- and USDA-recommended temperatures for convenience.

It come with a slender case for the pointy part, which is sharp enough to easily slide into cooked meat (or bread, casseroles, or whatever you may want to take a temperature reading of). Simple design, simple to clean, easy to store!
Review: Works great when used correctly - I was using it wrong at first and was confused that it didn't seem to work. You have to stick it in the thickest part of the meat and push it down all the way until it hits the grayed out part on the needle. If you just stick the tip in, it won't work. Unless you're cooking a large roast, you do have to come in at angle because smaller pieces of meat most likely will not be thick enough to go all the way through straight in. But it works great once you figure out how to use it.

I was using it wrong at first and was confused that it didn't seem to work.
