The founders, after repeatedly losing valuable items during travel with a lively 2-year-old boy and another baby on the way, felt compelled to tackle the limited choices and poor quality prevalent in the market. This served as the catalyst for Forge's creation, a brand dedicated to resolving the challenges faced by travelers. Leveraging their family's expertise in the tsa lock industry, Forge not only overcame obstacles but soared to become the TOP brand in the US market. With a commitment to addressing the needs of travelers, Forge offers a selection of locks tailored for various functions and sizes. The result is a blend of security, convenience, and peace of mind for every journey undertaken by those who choose Forge TSA approved luggage locks. . The TSA lock system streamlines security screenings, minimizing delays and costs for airlines and airports while enhancing safety against threats and hazardous goods. Each Forge TSA lock is designed with two prominent red diamond logos, ensuring TSA agents instantly recognize and unlock them with master keys—eliminating the risk of lock removal. ## Features - MOST DURABLE TSA RECOGNIZED AND ACCEPTED TSA LOCK. Forge TSA appproved locks are designed from the ground up to be the toughest luggage locks around. Our special alloy lock bodies, tightly braided and sheathed steel cables, hardened steel cable lock ends as well as patented internal mechanisms can take such a pounding that we back our product up with an unconditional lifetime guarantee. If you can find a way to break these locks, we’ll gladly refund or replace them. - EASY TO SET 3 DIGIT COMBINATION. Our combination locks have an easy to use lever mechanism to set the combination. Simply set the locks to the factory default combination of 0-0-0, flip the lever with a pen and enter your personal combination. The combination can also be changed as many times as you like. Never worry about accidently changing your lock to the wrong combination or your combination being changed during rough handling. - SECURITY WITH THE FLEXIBILITY OF A CABLE LOCK. Cable locks can handle situations that normal lock shackles simply can’t. Our tsa lock’s cable is thin enough to thread through all standard sized zippers and hard case lock holes but strong enough to protect your belongings. At a length of 4 in from end to end and an internal looped length of 1.5 in when locked, our cable offers the flexibility to secure nearly any suitcase, hard case, gun case, etc. on the market. - ALWAYS RELOCKED, ALWAYS PROTECTED. Most TSA locks on the market do not need to be re-locked by a TSA agent after their inspection is completed. With our TSA luggage lock, the agent has to re-lock your suitcase to remove their key. With Forge you never worry about your suitcase locks being left open again. - MANY USES WITH LOTS OF VARIETY. Forge travel locks can be used on a wide variety of items besides suitcases or luggage. These luggage locks can be used on a briefcase, gym locker, purse, backpack or laptop bag. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Additional Features | TSA Approved | | Asin | B01M5COMNZ | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,003 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry (See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry) #1 in Luggage Locks | | Brand Name | Forge | | Color | Black 2 Pack | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Jog dial | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (6,993) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Finish Types | Painted | | Item Dimensions | 1.2 x 0.65 x 3.4 inches | | Item Highlight | Advanced Lock Core, Large White Numbers, Open Alert, Zinc Alloy Body, Flexible Cable for travel Luggage, Suitcase & Carry-On | | Item Weight | 9.07 g | | Lock Type | Combination Lock | | Manufacturer | Forge | | Manufacturer Part Number | 646648185015 | | Material Type | Alloy Steel, Chrome, Iron, Metal, Stainless Steel, Zinc | | Model Number | 646648185015 | | Number Of Items | 2 | | Number Of Packs | 2 | | Number Of Pieces | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | TSA approved luggage locks for air travel, securing carry on luggage, checked bags, suitcases, backpacks, and travel gear during airport screening and flights | | Shape | Rectangular | | Style Name | Modern | | Unit Count | 2 Count | | Upc | 646648185015 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Forge - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 1.2 x 0.65 x 3.4 inches - **Lock Type:** Combination Lock - **Material:** Alloy Steel, Chrome, Iron, Metal, Stainless Steel, Zinc - **Special Feature:** TSA Approved ## Images ![Forge TSA Approved Luggage Locks, TSA Open Alert Cable Lock, Black, 2 Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ih3PTgANL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: If i can change the code why can't anyone else?** A: It has to be unlocked/on the correct code to switch to the mode to change the code. Summary of how to change code: 1. Enter correct/old code (starts at 000) 2. Move switch to other position 3. Enter new code you want 4. Move switch back to normal position **Q: What is that extra piece on the bottom of the lock? Seems to be in the way, but it must have a purpose.** A: Hey, folks... THE EXTRA PIECE IS THE ACTUAL THING THAT PREVENTS THE TSA AGENT FROM REMOVING THE KEY UNLESS IT'S LOCKED BACK! WOW REALLY?!!! **Q: Couldn't someone just reset the lock to factory settings, create their own combo, and open it?** A: Once the combination has been changed , the "factory combo" no longer works. I set one up with a combo that I could not remember and could not get it to open even using the original numbers.Even the manufacturer did not or would not supply a "master code". Locks are very nice and work well. **Q: What is the overall length with the cable locked in place?** A: With cable locked,: 3.25 inches from top of cable loop to bottom of lock. 1.62 inches from top of cable loop to top of lock. Cable is one-eighth inch in diameter. It works well! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ really decent for the price. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 28, 2026* I used these locks on a recent vacation and, for the money, they worked out just fine ... did everything I expected them to do. So good value for the money spent. These locks, of course, aren't going to keep anyone from breaking into my luggage if they really wanted to, but that really isn't the reason I used them. I've had TSA going through my luggage before, and I'm sure they will again, and I wanted an easy, non-destructive way for them to gain access ... and for me to know, for certain, when they went through my luggage. The construction is decent enough, for this type of a 'cable' lock. The 'cables' are flexible enough to be used easily and work well and can adjust to the pulls I used them on.The combination feature is easy to set, and easy to open (though it might be a little more difficult for people who have some mobility issues in their hands as the buttons are somewhat small). The color is okay, the black version is fine, though not a major concern of mine.Overall, for the price, a nice little extra to have around for vacation time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy Luggage Locks *by on Reviewed in the United States July 19, 2026* Great lock! It was easy to program and feels quite sturdy. No slight against the lock but buyers should be forewarned that the lock is not able to fit a good number of zipper holes. I purchased the lock for an upcoming excursion out of the country and found that the part that is to go through the zipper hole and then click into the lock did not fit. After reading other reviews I found this to be an issue with others. For the record and consideration of other buyers, the luggage was standard and brand-new Samsonite set. So, it wasn't inconsistent with updated luggage/zippers. Order early enough to allow for a return or adjustments if needed. Rating of the actual product remains a five. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice cable locks for travels *by on Reviewed in the United States August 8, 2026* I've never used cable locks like this before, always the thick solid latching ones. These were far less heavy than those, compact too, and the cables fit through zippers and tight spaces giving more options of places to loop around. It was easy to change the combination and use off and on frequently during travels. ## Frequently Bought Together - TSA Approved Cable Luggage Locks, Re-settable Combination with Alloy Body, Black 2 Locks. - Rainleaf Microfiber Towel Perfect Travel & Gym & Camping Towel.
