I find it has too much hold when using with other products. If you’re looking for lots of definition you may like this! I like a softer look. Definitely helps hold curls from when they are wet.

Long time user of this product (previously B'Leave-In) - seen many comments that formula has changed ... not sure about that. However the consistency certainly has. Beware -- DO NOT OPEN WITH OPENING DOWN. Product now will just run straight out of the tube. Disappointing in this 5 oz size. Must purchase 16OZ with the pump --- but as previously reviewed on One Condition -- this bottle is shorter and fatter than previous packaging. Women's smaller hands cannot grasp this bottle very well when you get to the point that you have to turn it upside down due to amount left in bottle it is going to just run out and either be too much or worse yet just pour out as a wastage. Will be shopping for another line - if they had a focus group on this new packaging it was an epic fail for practical usage.Bye Bye Deva - it was great while it lasted.

I’ve been using Devacurl products for three or four years but I’ve never tried this one. I do not have naturally curly hair, in fact, I have bone straight hair. I lost a lot of hair when I had severe anemia and so I got a old-school perm 5 yrs ago (and every 8-9 months now) and this line has kept it healthy- I even have my hair bleached with foils every 3-4 months or so! I ran out of a lot of the gels that I was using from the Devacurl line and thought I would try this one. I definitely have to use a leave in product after washing my hair which is the Redken anti-snap and then I follow with Set it Free spray by Devacurl and then I use this. I notice I am having better hair days.

This doesn't even begin to control the frizz as the original formula did. It is, though, more concentrated so, in theory, less should be more, but since it's not doing its job to begin with, there is no point. Also, I have found that when the product hits wet hair, it smells like a soaking wet diaper. It's just wrong.

It was disappointing. Hair is fine right after application, but once I sleep on it, it gets all frizzy and I have to wet it down to get it under control again. My hair is fine and thing and very curly.
