If you're not afraid to wire up your own ethernet cable or if you have one of length, these work perfectly. I wanted to bridge my Philips Hue strip to the extension but my cabinets separate for the sink, these extensions made it super simple to run an Ethernet cable up and around the sink and connect up to the extension. I will say that they really had limited utility for me personally. I just used the cut end to cut end connectors and directly spliced cat 5e segments between the lightstrip segments.
