The deck comes with a small book that has explanations in several languages. It's probably not as thorough as it could be, but it's not as spare as the tiny booklet that comes with so many decks. I only use cards that are clearly modeled after either the Waite or Marseilles decks, so I was assured to see these are based on Waite. The light/darkness betweenspace concept embodied by the mandorla on each card actually does broaden my idea of many of them, and makes a definite contribution to my understanding and practice. I've had a lot of fun looking at where in each card the light comes from, and the quality of the light, and comparing each with Waite's concepts. Overall, the art is ,deep, eye-catching and communicates a lot of information at a glance. I got the ones with no margin, which I prefer, and the cardstock is high-quality. Recommended!
