It may even be. I got exactly what I was looking for. It is thin enough to fit in a cargo pocket but big enough to actually use to heat water for tea.The contents are a bonus, although I'll replace most with higher quality items that meet my needs and specifications. Haven't tried the firesteel, but appears to be a quality item. Water purification tablets are a nice touch, although I wish there was some labeling/expiration date on the packaging or instructions for their use included with the survival instructions. Survival instructions are not bad either, not great, but helpful. All in all, I'd rate this kit as a very good starting place for someone needing a place to start their survival gear.
