My moss was delivered today after only 2 and a half days in the post, the moss i was sent arrived mostly deep green and looks rather healthy. There is around 1% of the center of the clump sent with some slightly brown strands, but it is certainly what i would consider a healthy plant. It was slightly flattened after spending time going through the postal system, it was packaged in a box but the box had been squashed at some point, no fault at all of the seller. I havent taken my time to smell java moss before, but after reading reviews on it being bad smelling i decided to test this too. I can smell the earthy smell that usually comes with plants of most types, however it does have a slight hint of an oily smell. Im not sure if the hint of an oil smell is natural so i will be flushing this moss before adding it to my terrarium. I see no snails upon inspection although its impossible to see eggs. This wouldnt be a bad thing for me, it would just mean more food for my dart frogs IF it did contain snails. Overall i am very pleased with this purchase.
