But these are so much better than any of the plastic ones I've ever bought: - They're really long last lasting - I've been using one for 18 days and it's still working really well They don't lose their shape - after over two weeks - it looks fresh out of the box They don't get mucky - It's still as clean looking as when I took out of the box They remain constantly effective - there's no deterioration in cleaning even after 18 days of use. They don't smell - they look and smell as fresh as the first use. They're not plastic so will be composted - no guilt feelings about throwing away endless plastic. These sponges are a bit stiff to handle at first but soon loosen up in use. They are efficient in use and do last a long time (our first was still going after 5 weeks of daily use). I have to admit that I was sceptical about them at first but in terms of them in use I am pleased. I still have a hesitation about their ability to be recycled by our local services - time will tell!
