It is screwed under the pedal - so the pedal is bounced back faster Specifications Color: Black Retrofit only possible from year of manufacture 2007 About Tama For over 40 years, TAMA DRUMS has stood for exclusive drums of the highest quality. Decades have passed to today's know-how and state-of-the-art production status. Decades of learning and development, but above all the joy of the instrument and music. TAMA Drums is a brand of the Japanese company Hoshino Gakki, which was founded in 1908 by Matsujiro Hoshino as a bookstore selling music sheets. In 1962, Junpei Hoshino, the founder's grandson, opened Tama Seisakusho's work to produce electric guitars, amplifiers and drums. From 1966, only drums were made here and the other productions were awarded to various contractors. In 1974, the brand "Royalstar" was created as a complement to the first drum model "Star Drums'". However, there were problems with this name for distribution in the USA. "Star" was not allowed to be used there, which is why the TAMA DRUMS brand was introduced in the course of this. According to the narratives, TAMA goes back to a particularly popular grandmother within the Hoshino family and the term "Star" can still be found in all series names of the drum sets. The company's philosophy has always been to combine traditional craftsmanship in instrument making with the constant pursuit of progress and further development and to enjoy the joy of instrument and music.

Review: Works well with Tama pedals. - This is a replacement component which can also upgrade non-brand single pedals. I used it to upgrade an older pedal; which, in its mid -footplate position, was too strong a spring and limited travel. In time, I'll use it on my original Tama pedal.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the pedal just rest on the spring or does it actually attach to it?**
A: It attaches to the bottom metal plate facing up. Whether it rests on the spring or not depends on where you tighten the spring into position.

**Q: Can this work with other brand pedals?**
A: The Iron Cobra pedal has a flat metal plate with pre drilled holes. If yours has a metal plate with two round screw holes and an oval hole to access the spring screw it should easily work.  Or if it has a metal plate and you’re handy with a drill.

**Q: Will this work on a iron cobra powerglide 900?  i have the open slot on the base of the pedal but it isnt like the pictures and i dont have 2 holes...**
A: I think it supports the Cobra coil. I’ve found some pictures on the web, and I think it should work as expected.

**Q: Is this price for one or a set of two?**
A: This is just one coil(for single pedals). You would need two of these if you're using them for a double pedal.
