It runs on batteries (but hard to know how long they will last in bad weather). A couple of flaws, but not dealbreakers: the instructions are not great. For example, when I first set it up, I turned it on and mounted it on a construction pole. Two weeks later, it turns out that I had zero photos. You have to turn it on AND press "record". I wish I could see the images in real time, mostly to know if the camera is mounted in a good location. Not possible on this model. It comes with everything you need to get started quickly, including the camera itself, a 16GB memory card, and 4 AA batteries. The setup process was easy. I did have to buy a memory card reader (https://a.co/d/c4an2ds) so I can copy the AVI files from the SD card to my M2 MacBook Pro. One of the standout features of this camera is its tiny screen, which is a big plus compared to the cheaper model TLC130 (https://a.co/d/0ZwPfMX). The screen makes it much easier to identify what’s getting captured, so you can be sure you’re getting the shots you want. Using the default settings, I let it record the sky for an hour and it generated a 24-second video.
