Nice shorts
Nice shorts nice materials and nice fit. Okay they are nice. The material is more substantial than some workout tights and has good stretch to them. They have a yoke in the back and pockets in front that can hold stuff if you are not running. I usually wear a medium in workout shorts and tights so I purchased a medium in these. They are loose and if I lose 10 pounds I could go down to the size small. But I will wash them first and see if they have any shrinkage. They are not tight on the leg like tights or workout shorts and for me they do not work for running. I purchased them as a non-running workout short. A little pricey but a very nice short. Need more colors like navy or dark gray and I would purchase more of this style.

Did someone say "pockets"?
Recently I started walking on the days I don't run, and I noticed that none of my running shorts have pockets. So in my search (quick because pockets appear to be rare on women's athletic shorts!) I found these babies. I am 5"8" and weigh 145 and always wear mediums in athletic bottoms - but thanks to another reviewer I sized down, and I'm glad I did. The size small fits me a bit tighter than the model, but I don't feel restricted in any way and these shorts actually look really flattering on. The pockets - while smaller than I expected - are situated in such a way that they lay flat and don't flare out and make my hips look wider. I am able to get my Galaxy s4 to stay in the pockets adequately for walking - but no way they would stay in for a run. Also, I love the material which is a polyester blend and not cottom like most other shorts of this style. Overall very happy with these shorts.

Best All-Around Gym Shorts
These shorts are perfect for they gym or taking a walk. They are long enough to provide coverage, thick enough to hide cellulite, and stretchy enough to do anything. These are not super tight like bike short, but have just a bit of room in them. I use them for crossfit all the time and like that no matter what I am doing, they keep me covered. They are not super low cut (hit me just at the bottom of my belly button, which I appreciate. They have small front pockets - work for carrying keys while walking. I have stuck my phone (Galaxy S5) in there, but in its case it just looks and feels strange (you can tell exactly what is in there. My hips are 45.5" and the XL fits me perfectly. If you are looking for super low-rise, tight shorts, these are not for you. If you want something comfy with coverage that just stay in place, these are great.

I think it depends on what you like as far as material and fit when it comes to things like this. The shorts fit great. They are somewhat heavier than what I am used to but that is by no means a deal breaker. They stretch well, wash great and dry quickly. Not so short that they crawl up my butt and not so long that they look like street corner rapper attire. I would order these again if they had more stock.

I came back to buy more
I really wish these came in other colors. They are perfect. They are lightweight and fit well. They are not too tight in the thigh. The waistband isn't bulky and lays nice and flat. They do have pockets - but i had to check twice, because usually shorts with pockets seem to poof out there and these don't. I usually wear a 14/16 and I ordered the XL which fit perfectly. If you were gifted with really skinny thighs - these might feel too loose for you there. They are not like a bicycle short - very roomy. The material feels like a yoga pant - but the cut doesn't fit as tight as a yoga pant would through the back and thighs.

They fit!
I am 5'6" and weigh 132, size 8 or medium almost all the time. I want shorts to wear at the gym or running outside that are not baggy but also not skin tight. Not sure if you have noticed but that all seem to be skin tight lately and I do not have that kind of butt. So I bought these and wore to gym. They are flattering, do not ride up at all, dry quickly, are just the right length for me. I can't say enough about how awesome they are! I am going to buy another pair even though you probably also noticed that they aren't cheap. They are worth it if I don't need any other gym shorts.

fit well but too warm
I am 5'2" and weigh 117 lbs. I ordered a small and they fit me well. I ran in them today for the first time in low 70 temps and I was very hot in them. The fabric is nice, but it is like the fabric in my stretch leggings that I wear for winter runs. I think I will save them for less strenuous warm weather workouts.

I love the fit
In fitted bike shorts, I always buy a large. The large in these was too big, I exchanged for a Medium. I normally wear a size 10-12. These in a large are probably closer to a 14. I love the fit, and wish they made another style just a little longer.
