Great brush for curly or thick hair.
I have thick and curly hair. It frizzes and I live in an area where it rains most days. I was using the Crave brush which was much better than my old one, but it still would pull too much/get stuck if I got a really bad tangle. I bought this brush about 18 months ago because the reviews seemed good and it was inexpensive. I don’t use any other brush now if I can avoid it, with one exception. I like to use the Crave one after I wash my hair because my hair is too heavy when really wet, and this brush really flexes a lot so I worry that I might break it. Once it dries a little though, it’s good to go. My niece, on the other hand, has long thick wavy hair that likes to tangle at a thought and she uses it whether her hair is wet or dry without any issues. I basically bought this brush for a lot of family members last Christmas. We pretty much all have long hair. Every one seems to love it. My teenager, who has hair like mine, but even thicker and curlier, refuses to use any other brush. Though they did break theirs by trying to brush straight down, from the top of their head, after just waking, and almost getting it stuck on a huge tangle. Since then, they start with sections at the bottom and work their way up gradually and have had no other issues. That was user error though, not the brush’s fault so I didn’t deduct any stars. My niece uses it on her preschooler who used to HATE having her long curly hair brushed. She still doesn’t like it but she doesn’t mind it so much now. I had bought them several different brands of detangling brushes in hopes that at least one of them would make hair-brushing a less stressful and tearful time. This is the one my niece has said works best. My partner, who has thinner wavy-straight hair likes this brush but also still uses their natural bristle brush as well. My nephew-in-law also prefers a thicker-bristled brush over this one. If you have thick and/or curly hair or a toddler/preschooler/child who gets tangles a lot, this brush is definitely worth trying out. The only con I can think of is that I’ve gotten used to the more gentle feel of this brush so that if I am away from home and need to use a different brush, they now feel too rough on my scalp. And it doesn’t fit in a small purse.

WORTH IT! - Long fine hair/ G entle/ Light weight / less painful and breakage.
This brush is very interesting in my experience, a much better upgrade compared to the Wet Brush brand, paddle brushes, wide tooth comb, and even boars bristle brushes ive tried over the years. and I thought those brushes were pretty decent, until I came across this cool looking brush. I have long fine hair and alot of it. A tender scalp and my hair breaks really easily, though it is pretty healthy. It really does glide through the tangles, even when my hair has been teased has hair product. Using some dry shampoo with this brush makes my hair super fluffy and full. Brushing for me is like 90% painless. Ive experienced a small snag here and there but doesn't compare to the other brushes and combs i thought was good. Brushing feels a lot different than a normal brush, its even less painful than a boars bristle brush. I see less hair on this brush compared to what I have always used. So at the end the day I trusted everyones ratings before buying. And I can also say good things about this brush too. The paddle section of the brush my feel a little flimsy to some people, but I have no problem with it. I think its the design of it is what makes the brushing nice. The handling still feels sturdy.I have not tried it with wet hair, I normally don't brush or comb my hair while its still wet that often. I hope this review helps the next buyer needing a new brush replacement. I may have to do a brush comparison as an update possibly to see how effective it really is.

Great for tangled hair!
Wow. Just wow. I have fine, thick hair that goes down almost to my waist. I’ve been trying out brushes for YEARS. Due to having 2B/2C hair, my hair tends to tangle. Especially if I go all out with my curls, leave it down, and then go to a rock concert. lol Which is what I did, realized it was a horrible tangled messed, and went to YouTube trying to find some advice. I found a video of a woman praising this brush and rushed here. Got it, just used it to brush out the hair that’s been living in a braid, washed but not brushed, for 3 days. I should have lost a LOT of hair. Instead I lost barely more than one a single day of brushing would have gotten me with every other brush I have. And I’ve purchased some VERY popular brushes. It also went all the way through my hair, which is a first. Typically I have to brush the top and then go to the underside and brush it too. This brush negated that need. Absolutely love! And it’s so much cheaper than some of those other well known brushes! If you have curly, long, thick, wavy, frizzy, or tangled hair this brush is for you. It only took me 37 years, but I finally found a brush I love!

The best detangling brush - didn't know what I was missing
I have long fine hair (but a lot of it) and it tangles SO easily - my daughter has the same issue. I've tried a number of detangling brushes - all were decent and worked better than traditional brushes. Looking for a replacement I came across this brush and thought I'd try it out expecting similar results to the others... and then wow! so much less hair loss, so much faster detangling - this brush is amazing! The only negative I see is that after about 3 months of use, some of the bristles are getting bent out of shape. This hasn't affected the detangling ease yet but we'll see. I do know that detangling brushes do wear out faster than regular brushes so we'll see how long this one continues to work. The brushes are so bendy it was hard to detangle my hair after swimming in salt water with a braid, however tons of conditioner and using it in the shower really helped. As far as regular hair washing at home? I haven't used anything better than this brush. It works like magic.

Works great for tangles!
Works really well. I wish it dug into the tangles a little more but it does make it much less painful when brushing. My daughter gets really bad knots and every brush always hurt when trying to get them out. This one flexes so it doesn’t pull to hard. It takes a little longer to finally get the tangles out but it’s much better than other brushes.
