The price definitely scared me a bit, $40 is more than a standard clear case you’ll find on here. Pictures really don’t do this case justice, it’s easily the most comfortable case i’ve ever used.Fit and feel - Fits pretty tight and obviously isnt meant to be taken on and off frequently. A point that caught my eye with this case is that they claim the textured clear material is supposed to feel like your phone. It doesn’t, but it’s pretty close. It’s not as soft as the matte glass on the phone, but it’s also far from sandpaper and is more than comfortable. The tpu border on the sides is flush with the sides of your phone, so it feels like part of the phone, this definitely adds to the comfort. The included screen protector is a must imo even if you already have one, there’s videos of how good this screen protector is and honestly some might spend $40 just for it. I found it a bit finicky to put on, because if you don’t like it up correctly it won’t fully sit on the screen and the edges won’t adhere. On the screen side, the top and bottom of the case are flush with the screen, but has raised corners so your screen isn’t touching whatever surface.Look - It looks like a typical frosted clear case with magsafe, it’s not too eye catching. I’m totally fine with this. if you’re not there’s a customizable metal ring that protects the cameras, you can find them on the phonerebel website. The back color of the phone pops a lot more than i expected, especially with the frosted glass. You can easily make out the dark but vivid blue tone of the blue titanium color.Functionality - The magsafe magnets aren’t as strong as the oem ones, but can easily hold the phone up. I dangled the phone in the air with the official magsafe charger and the phone didn’t slip or even feel like budging. If you own a 15 pro max, you probably know that these phones aren’t the strongest apple has ever made. Even with the open sides, i have full trust in this case with my phone. Rebel 15 Pro Max FLEX Frosted (Bought with my money)This case is the best case made for the iPhone. It offers bumper protection all while feeling like a naked iPhone in your hand. Swiping is seamless across all sides. The case sits flush with the iphones titanium sides so the case does not dig into the palm of your hands. The edges are revealed so you can show off that beautiful titanium finish! My one gripe with the Gen 5 case lineup is that the USB-C port is way too small. My anker usb a to usb c cable for carplay from amazon fits but I have to jam it in there. Other than that this case feels amazing in the hand and weighs around 44 grams.Rebel 15 Pro Max (NON FLEX) Frosted (Provided by Phone Rebel)This case has a nice grip to it. Unlike the flex series, this case's sides are covered. It weighs a bit more at around 51 grams due to the added layer of protection. The case has seamless swiping just like the flex across all the edges. It has VERY nice tactile and clicky buttons. These buttons along with the camera piece are customizable with different colors from the official Phone Rebel site... so you can truly customize it to your liking. Like the flex series, my only complaint with this case is that the USB C port is too small. If you want a general idea of which cables fit... I would say any cable that is similar to the official apple usb c one.After using both these cases, Phone Rebel is now my favorite case maker and the one I will be sticking with for future iPhone releases. The case was to replace the UAG Plyo that started to split apart at the seams where the back plate is fused to the bumper.The Phone Rebel case feels MUCH more premium than my old UAG case and is also lower in price. It feels really solid and the measurements around the bumper lip is so snug when the phone is snapped in that i doubt its possible for water to seep in between the crevices. The bumper also has built-in buttons on the sides which are fused to a rubber membrane material adding more shielding from splashes. If you accidentally spill a soda on a table with this case on your phone, there’s literally no way for liquid to enter the phone case enclosure. The UAG I previously used had little air gaps around its buttons giving no protection from puddles or when holding the phone in the rain. The Phone Rebel case is almost an impenetrable fortress to moisturize. The vulnerability in the case is the charging port, but there are port plugs available elsewhere to cover it up.You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of the Phone Rebel case. The only reason I didn’t buy it when I first got my 15 pro max was because it wasn’t available for sale before the phone launched.
