If the water level drops, the float drops and the circuit is closed and my alert light is on **Q: What is the length of the leads on this switch?** A: I didnt measure the leads, but Id say 8" **Q: what is the "closed" position (aka circuit continuity)?** A: When the tank is full continuity is open or broken, when the tank is low continuity is closed or made.
