Wireless Carplay Adapter

Once installed and pared to the phone it worked fairly well. Sometimes it take a few second to connect but usually connects quickly. Some issues when hooked to Apple Carplay and using the phone but it's my understanding this would still be an issue even if you hardwired your phone, more a Honda issue than this devices problem. The 90 degree USB adapter is great as you can plug this dongle in and it lays flat against the dash and is barely noticable. Overall very happy with the purchase.

This works flawlessly with my iPhone in a '24 Subaru Forester. It did stop connecting a few times, and I noticed it was when my spouse was in the car. We had set it up with both our phones so it would connect to CarPlay regardless of which one of us was using the car. It seems that it got confused when both phones were present. So, my spouse de-installed it and it's gone back to working flawlessly. So, if connection is a problem and you are using two phones, that could be the issue.

yes, extremely easy to connect and upgrade software. But it connected once and then, although navigation trough waze worked well, NOTHING that implied audio output worked. Upgraded software, audio worked (more or less) and then one call came in and NOTHING. No audio from the call and NO MORE AUDIO from music, podcasts or audiobooks.UPDATE - Seller asked for screenshots and video, phone does not take video when connected. Nothing out of the ordinary in the pictures it shows normal apple car play screens but audio does not work, for instance when trying to play music, podcasts or audiobooks I tap the play arrow it goes to pause for a moment and back to play - no playback of anything. It also reboots spontaneously. First few times it worked well and then stopped working, looks like a common experience by reading other reviews.DO NOT BUY.Big disappointment bad investment difficult for me to return but I will try.

If you read the instructions it’s pretty easy to install. There is a few second lag when switching songs but works pretty well.

Really not sure what could possibly be different than this piece for $29. Why would you pay 2-3 times that? This one works perfectly. Glad I found it amongst the sea of choices.EV6 GT #winningConnectivity piece of cake, ez set up, instantly connected. Serious no brainer.

Overall, I think this product works well and is convenient when your car does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. I have a 2020 Cadillac XT4 and it does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. The CarPlay works with the cord, but for the sake of convenience and appearance, I really wanted something Wireless. The product is super easy to use, literally a plug-in play, and works consistently for a while, but then glitches start happening. For a while, it was just an extended period of time before it would actually connect and play music, then it wouldn’t find it at all, sometimes the screen would just be blacked out. There’s a startup screen when you first plug the product into your USB and sometimes it freezes on that screen too. Overall frustrating and I just ended up reverting back to using the cord. There is an option to do some sort of update to the product, there are directions in the booklet that come with the item. I did that and, the freezing seems to have stopped, but it is still pretty glitchy and takes longe than expected to connect most of the time. When it’s connected, the sound quality is as expected. Sounds great in my car. However, if you’re looking for some thing that maybe does not have so many glitches, I don’t know that I would wholeheartedly recommend that you purchased this product. To be fair, my spouse has a wireless adapter as well, not this brand, and I know he also experiences some glitches. I don’t believe his or as frequent as mine though. I think some of the lag and glitches come with the territory of having a vehicle that does not automatically come with wireless Apple CarPlay.

worked great for a few months, now doesn't work at all. just stopped working

I have a CX-5 with carplay via usb and this dongle work perfect.Jutlst plug in the usb port and connect your iphone via bluetooth to setup.It took less a min or two for it to get connected and it works exactly the same.The only down side is after setup via bluetooth , phone will connect to the dongle via wifi .
