This is what I’d expect from Sheffield, especially that quality gasket I trust to seal well and keep water out from splashes. I have a keyed padlock on mine, keys with me at all times. For what the box is intended to do and the level of security with accessibility, I think it’s definitely acceptable for locking your items. My items actually have nothing to do with firearms although I understand this is an ammo box. I got the red because this contains life saving items and in an evacuation situation, I’m grabbing it. The red makes it stand out among other items in my home. I am in no way disappointed with this box, and even if I used it for ammo (I used to shoot for sport), I would trust it.
