Durable, fun toy for both water and land play
Not many toys stand the test of time, either in terms of durability or the ability to capture the attention of children for more than a few weeks. This toy has managed to fully occupy my 2 year old in nearly every bath he's had for the past year. He loves to play with the periscope, interact with the 2 included figurines, and pretend he's the captain of his favorite yellow submarine. There are multiple doors to open (one on the side, one on top), a propeller to work, a periscope to adjust, and it even has small wheels for land action as well. This toy does NOT float, nor is it waterproof, so be prepared for the interior to be flooded when placed in water. My five year old boy also loves this toy, and because he's older, he's a little rougher with it. He has banged it up against the tub, walls, and even played with it outside. Not a single piece of this toy has broken or cracked - it really holds up to the elements and nearly anything a preschooler might subject it to! It is a toy that encourages imaginative play, and offers just enough fun working parts & accessories to stimulate the mind. The only thing I'd like to see are female submarine figurines included with the set (or at least the ability to purchase them separately). All in all, a great value for a durable toy for a wide range of ages (3-7 are probably best). It is my favorite present to purchase for all the 3 year olds in my life (male and female).

Good Choice
This was a gift for our 2-1/2 year old son. It was reasonably priced and he has played with it for hours. His older brother who is 7 has also played with it.It is well put together and easy for him to manipulate the guys and their equipment. It has wheels on the bottom which makes it easy for him to move it around on the floor. Another positive is that the guys from the other FP Imaginext sets also fit into the submarine which is great because you never know when Batman will need to go deep sea diving!Overall, we have not been disappointed with any of the FP Imaginext sets and both our boys love playing pretend play with them. Every once in a while my daughter will even jump in to use the castle or take the sub for a spin.I would recommend this particular toy for any child 2-8. It can take some rough play and it is easy for little hands to get the guys into and out of.

It doesn't really do anything - I was disappointed considering how expensive it was
This is quite a large bath toy. The first thing my son said was "water is leaking to the inside". It doesn't really do anything - I was disappointed considering how expensive it was.

Young oceanographers will love this submarine
This pre-school toy is meant to roll on the floor rather than float in a pool or tub. But that's alright, because it has so much for kids to play with. It has a crew of two action figures - one captain and a diver with removeable scuba gear. The top hatch opens and the periscope extends just like on a real submarine. And there are also opening side panels to allow kids to place the figures inside. It even fires two torpedos, which are made of soft plastic. This toy submarine has everything a kid could ask for. With the addition of a few large plastic sea creatures, a child can have an imaginary deep sea adventure.

Fun for my son
My nearly 5 year old loves Imaginext and this submarine is no exception. It is very durable and has doors that open on each side and the top that make it very easy to get the people in and out. It also has two missiles that shoot out the front. We really got this as a bath toy and it seems to dry out pretty well after being played with in the tub. Also it has wheels on the underside so that if it is pushed along the floor the back propeller spins. It has held my sons interest and is well worth the money.

It is a fun and cool toy
I am 8 years old. This toy is great. But it does get full of water. You can empty the water when you open the door. It is bigger than I thought. It was fun in the bath tub. It has cool little men with it.

Great toy
My son LOVES this toy. He uses it in and out of the tub. It’s bigger than I thought it would be and crafted from sturdy materials. My 4 year old says, “I like it going underwater” when asked for his review of the product.

Kids love it
Kids love it...good addition to the Imaginext collection. It is not a bath toy but holds up okay in the water.

Great as described
Great little toy for my grandchild who wanted a submarine for his Christmas present. There are few on the market that children can use their imagination with. However, while I also purchased other accessories with this, we were disappointed it shouldn’t be used in water. Still he will get lots of enjoyment anyway.

Yellow Submarine Fan
I ordered this as a gift for my nephew who learned the yellow submarine in school and really wanted one then. He was absolutely thrilled once opening this present and had him singing the song over and over again much to his mother's delight.

I was impressed with the size of the submarine, I was expecting a little toy but it is quite big, very sturdy durable for my little boy who likes to throw his toys about. Overall very happy.

Strong and good for imagination
My son loved this, and likes to introduce various new figures from his toy box into the sub to create baddies and goodies in his underwater battles. It works well, fires torpedoes half way across the room and has lasted some time without showing any signs of wear and tear. good value.

Sturdy Toy
Well made toy and seems very sturdy. Gift was bought for a four year old who really enjoys playing with it. I'm sure it will give lots of fun for many years to come. Nice that this toy does not require batteries so should be OK to use underwater too. I couldn't see anything in the instructions that suggested it shouldn't be used in water.
