OREDERED AS A GIFT

This is a magnificent volume. The illustrations and the captions to the numerous photographs are scholarly and authoratative, and this introduction to the art treasures of THe Hermitage holds pride of place in my library of art history. Zeddy

good but heavy going.

We visited the Hermitage, which was fantastic and bought this when we got home. Buying it in St Petersburg and carrying it back home would have pushed us into excess baggage!

the book is really nice! photo paper quality is brilliant colors.the description of the work is accurate.only negative: the seller did not specify that the book came from the USA and so it took nearly a month to arrive, odinato November 27 arrived on December 23.here is the reason of you stars.

250 wonderful colour illustrations of a fraction of the old masters in The Hermitage museum. A visit there is an enriching experience.
