Have two screw drivers ready one for each side. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Watch out for those damned break off screws. *by K***N on January 26, 2026* This lock works great, the semi flush mount works perfect for my application even though I had to remortice the backset pockets and striker plate because mine has a radius and the new lock set was squared so I had to get a 1” wood chisel (no big deal). My reason for 4 stars is the damned cut off screws stink because without a screw cutter you can’t do this without doing severe damage to the threads so I got a screw cutter and this solved that issue, unless there is a better way to do this I strongly suggest a screw cutter. It makes this job a huge amount easier.
