It can fit a lot of items in there and the instructions are very simple to use to create your own pin. I would definitely recommend this safe. Review: Good value option to tuck away - A good value option. Bought one of these to tuck out the way. Ok so for the price don't expect fort knox, I wouldn't recommend it for cash or high value jewellery but for laptops and documents to keep out the way this will be fine. The safe is a good size, 43cm wide so fits even some of the widest laptops which mine is. The metal isn't massively thick, maybe 3mm so would not hold up to a blow torch or drill for that matter but will be enough to stop chancers. It will certainly be secure enough to stop your run of the mill chancers providing its tucked away and secured to the wall or floor. Keypad is responsive and the keys don't look quite discreet if put on your key set. Not bad at all would recommend. ## Features - 19.8 L security safe with electronic lock and 2 emergency override keys - Steel construction with carpeted floor to protect against scratches and damage; - 2 live-door bolts and pry-resistant concealed hinges - Reprogrammable digital access; uses four AA batteries (not included) - Four bolts included to mount safe to wall, floor, or shelf; weighs 8.98 kg ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01BGY010C | | Alarm | No Alarm | | Best Sellers Rank | 16,236 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 21 in Cabinet Safes | | Brand | Amazon Basics | | Capacity | 19.8 litres | | Chamber Depth | 17.6 Centimetres | | Chamber Height | 18 Centimetres | | Chamber Width | 37 Centimetres | | Colour | Black | | Control Type | Key Control | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 3,287 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00841710129663 | | Included Components | four bolts | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 37D x 43W x 18H centimetres | | Item Weight | 8.98 Kilograms | | Lock Type | Keypad | | Lock type | Keypad | | Manufacturer | Amazon Basics | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Model Number | 18EI-43 | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 18EI-43 | | Product dimensions | 37D x 43W x 18H centimetres | | UPC | 841710129663 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Alarm:** No Alarm - **Brand:** Amazon Basics - **Capacity:** 19.8 litres - **Colour:** Black - **Included components:** four bolts - **Item weight:** 8.98 Kilograms - **Lock type:** Keypad - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Mounting type:** Wall Mount - **Product dimensions:** 37D x 43W x 18H centimetres ## Images ![Amazon Basics Steel Security Safe with Digital Keypad, 19.8 L, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Ox6NwIQhL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Number Of Items** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this hold a bottle of jack Daniels?** A: Yes, you should have no problem storing a bottle of Jack or more in it. **Q: My key stripped and my keypad ran out of battteries. Am I screwed?** A: Couldn't find keys and while my code "appeared" to work the thing would NOT UNLOCK. For the heck of it I tried the 159# and it did show "unlock" .... wow could not believe that! However still wouldn't open so I picked it up and turned it on it's side and banged it a few times and then tried the code and BOOM - popped right open. However, now when I try my regular four digit code I get that red exclamation point- Great now I have a new code??? How do I reset that thing!? **Q: Is it fire & water proof?** A: It has holes drilled to be mounted securely so logic will tell you regarding how water proof that makes it. Fire "proof" no, but more accurately, fire resistant. **Q: I see the mounting holes in the back: are there mounting holes in the bottom of the safe as well?** A: I see the mounting holes in the back. If I do not want to mount it using those back hole, how can I seal them. Does it come with some caps or sealer to seal those back holes. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great size, easy to use and great price point. *by M***Y on 5 July 2026* Perfect, great value for money, easy to install and perfect in size.
