Charming, as one would think!

This is a beautiful book if you love English cottage decor- lovely!

This is just a beautiful book. Though I like Ros Shaw's other books, I found this one to be more dense and more colorful than the others. The homes are beautiful and there is a variety of different homes. There is also a lot to inspire---including homes with great mixes of antiques/fabrics and furniture. Though I live across the ocean in Oregon, my home definitely has an English vibe. I also am raising six grandchildren but we manage to have it colorful and fun, but with that mix of antiques and textiles that are featured in these rooms. This book was a thoroughly satisfying purchase, as each home is a charming world of its own. Some English homes are---face it---just too big and grand, but these cottages and flats are great examples of perfectly imperfect British taste...the best taste in the world. This is by far my favorite purchase of the year.

Love this book. Captures the essence of English style in small spaces. Ros has an impeccable eye and the projects she brings together leave you satisfied and wanting more. Her prose are insightful and nuanced. BUY!

It's everything I'd hoped it would be! Ros never misses. Literally every single page is fun to look at. It's perfectly English, cozy, cottage, eclectic. So much inspirational textures and patterns. I couldn't pick my favorite pictures to give examples, so I just picked randomly. Literally love the whole book.

Not as expected from preview and cover photos. Nice large photos but the book is nearly void of charming cottage exteriors like the front cover (there are maybe 3?)There are lots of over-crowded, claustrophobic rooms BUT they do have some really lovely antiques.Other rooms exude a genteel shabbiness that made me feel a bit sad.As far as those with newer decorating schemes, none are my style -but kudos to those fearless homeowners bravely combining colors and patterns traditionally thought to be unmarriageable.Sadly, this isn't the coffee table book I wanted and it's going back.
