Transmitter, battery, and charger are sold separately.

## Description

IntroductionMuch like how the Super Cub and Super Decathlon are more feature-rich, powerful, and capable versions of the original designs, the E-flite® Super Timber® 1.7m is the same when compared to the world-renowned and best-selling Timber models that came before it. It’s not only larger than the Timber X 1.2m, Turbo Timber 1.5m, and Twin Timber 1.6m models but also features a more flexible and powerful 4S to 6S compatible power system. Plus, it’s equipped with even more “super” features and capabilities that set it apart from all the rest including inflatable tires with beadlock wheels, heavy-duty and articulated shock-absorbing landing gear, slats that can be installed without glue and removed easily in seconds, fastener-free wing and tail attachment, and more. It’s the most feature-rich, capable, and best flying Timber model to date which makes it perfect for everything from slow and easy cruising to sport and all-out aerobatic flying – along with the incredible STOL capabilities a wide range of pilots have come to expect.OverviewThe E-flite Super Timber 1.7m is equipped with a long list of “super” details that make it the most feature-rich and capable Timber yet! Starting with inflatable tundra tires and unique beadlock wheels mounted on heavy-duty articulated and shock-absorbing landing gear that are angled forward to help prevent nose-overs. It’s the best and strongest landing gear that’s ever been installed on a Timber model to deliver maximum durability and STOL capability when flying from almost any terrain! The optional-use slats can be clipped into place without the use of any glue, then can be removed and even reinstalled in seconds. All the LED lights you’ve come to expect are there, along with additional position and landing lights for added visibility

Review: It's a cool plane, looks great and flies awesome despite being a fatty, it flies just how you see on youtube - just fly it under power, it's an airplane, it needs power! and it's got it with 6s. Parts suck trying to find Right Now so buy your spares on desertcart. Not that I care about desertcart, that's just where they're available. Crashed twice lifting off because of my own fault AND, barely any dings. ( Tire popped initially due to my airfield having pokeys in the grass, had to replace the tire and I didn't tighten the wheel nut enough, so my wheel fell off during take off, then I had a sucky landing straight into a ditch and prop scraping landing on pavement and everything's good looking and functional still) You can store the wing support inside the fuselage And it has a no-mess wing clip system (unlike the Draco) so there's not extra stuff to lose on the way wherever you're going, plus removable battery tray. What's there to cry about I love this plane. my current favorite and I've been flying for 9 months, not sure what the other guy is complaining about but I'm brand new and I love this big dumb yellow brick
Review: As I don't do 3D, I used a brand new 4S SMC battery on my first flight. I saw videos of others using 4S batteries. There were light winds. Our club has long paved and grass runways. On approach I was a little hot and long so I tried to do a go around as I have done with other aircraft. There was not enough power, the plane stalled, hit the ground breaking the gear off of the fuselage damaging it. The battery holder broke a tab. The rest of the aircraft including electronics were ok. I just sent it back to Spectrum Service hoping that they will replace the fuselage but I don't know. The outer box was damaged because it was left in the rain...the inner box as well. I had a very difficult time trying to find a box to ship it. The Spectrum customer service guy was not able to help. I had to make a custom box out of 2. I get to FedEx and find out not only do they have a big enough box, but for about 30 dollars they could pack it for me. Since Spectrum uses FedEx, you would think their support team would have known about this but this guy didn't. I did my best to pack the aircraft but I am worried more damage was done in transit. My main point is that this is a heavy aircraft and I think it should always be powered with 6S batteries. I won't know for certain until I get the plane back... if Horizon honors the warranty and helps me out. I will revise my review when I hear from them and if I get to fly it again. Edit: 11/9/2024 I emailed the customer service representative, Scott, the other day. He told me that Horizon is honoring the warranty not by replacing the fuselage which is what I asked for, but by sending me an entirely new aircraft. They were out at the time but I now see that they sent it by FedEx and it is expected to arrive in a few days. While I am obviously very happy about this because it was a brand new aircraft, I do wonder why they didn't just put all the electronics in a new fuselage. My guess is that either they are not available or it was just easier for them to do this. A fuselage is NOT available in the parts list for the Super Timber. Since this happened, I did see a YouTube video of a guy that had a stall crash due to pilot error causing the same damage as I had. He managed to use CA to glue the gear back to the fuselage. Foam is certainly forgiven... Much more so than balsa or composite. My first trainer, the Apprentice has more lives than a cat. It surely doesn't look great anymore. The fuselage was even broken about 2/3 down but still flies very well. Considering what I know now, there are a few points I will make. I'm not by any means an expert, more of an intermediate RC pilot. This is a tail dragger and a heavy aircraft. Horizon doesn't recommend this as a first step up after beginning with a tricycle gear trainer. I would definitely agree with that. Yes, it was designed to be able to run on 4S batteries and I am sure others can be successful doing that. Because of what happened to me, I will always stick to 6S batteries, probably the 5000 mah ones I already purchased. I will put the new one together and hopefully I will get some flying in before it gets really cold and update this again. If you are a pilot with experience, I think you will have a lot of fun with this aircraft. The gear assembly is sturdy but obviously in my situation the stall was such that though not high off the ground, the force was sufficient to separate the gear from the fuselage. I will be doing a lot more practice with the Sim. Kudos to Horizon Service for giving me a new aircraft. I am giving it 4 stars only because of my concern about the design of the gear. It might be unfair of me, that it is the pilot's responsibility to never crash rather than question the design of the plane. You will have to be the judge of that. Unfortunately, crashing is part of the Hobby!

If you're thinking about getting the Super Timber... stop thinking and just do it. Seriously. This thing is pure FUN. Right out of the box, it looks awesome. Setup took like 10 minutes, mostly on the landing gear assembly. Got to flying real quick, It can cruise around super slow, and float forever with slats and flaps. I'm flying it on a 6S - 5000mAh battery most of the time and it has TONS of power for loops, rolls, you name it. Last about 12 minutes. Or 8 minutes if I'm leaning on the throttle. Bottom line: if you want a plane that’s easy, tough, and crazy fun, the Super Timber delivers big time. Buy it. Fly it. Grin like an idiot. Repeat.
