## Description

The Guide 18 is our core maximum cushioning training shoe. Built for comfort and protection, the Guide 18 is a cushioned everyday trainer that combines our soft and responsive PWRRUN foam with our exclusive Center Path Technology that keeps the foot centered and supported to deliver a best in class underfoot experience by maintaining a standard centerline, increasing the height of the sidewalls and building it on a rocker shape to ease toe off.

Review: A Wonderful New "Ride" - I've been a runner for over 50 years. Most of my miles occurr in ASICS DS Trainers - a combination racing flat with a little support and a little cushioning. My "Guide 18" shoes are my first forray into contemperary cushioned, light-weight general purpose rrunning shoes. The first time I put them on and tried them out indoors, I almost returned them. The heels are lower than the rest of the sole. This caused me to rock back when standing. Fortunately I researched the "Guide 18s" and discovered that they required some 'getting used to'. My first run was pure delight coupled with surprise. The "Guide 18" shoes are as light as racing flats from a decade ago. The cushioning is cloud-like. The support is uncanny. I am a mild pronator and a heavy heel striker. With all my past shoes, the inside rear of the heal was chronically scuffed, and every 20 miles I needed to coat the scuff area with shoe repair adhesive. I've put quite a few miles on my "Guide 18s" now and all the wear is evenly distributed - no repair adhesive needed yet; the stability feature must be working. The fit, by the way, is consistent with the advertised sizing. Summarizing: Durable, well-fitting, stable, light, comfortable, and a fine value for the money.
Review: Comfortable for flat-footed big guy - My efforts to find Saucony Guide 14 shoes on desertcart in size 14 has gotten tougher and tougher. I always liked those because of the hard plastic support built into the instep that was wonderful for keeping plantar fasciitis at bay. I finally decided to move on with my life and try something new... purchased a pair of Guide 18s. In short: these are comfortable shoes with decent arch support (note: I don't have much of an arch, so the moderate built in arch support is sufficient) ... and that is further facilitated by the generous and forgiving midsole. These shoes are my daily drivers, and I spend all day on my feet walking on hard surfaces and stairs. So far, so good. This model is a bit more narrow than the older Guide 14s or 15s, the toe box is on the smaller side, and they do NOT have that hard plastic insert that kept the shoe from flexing twisting. I'm doing a lot less trail running than 10 years ago, and more "campus stair walking"-- so it's working out. If I was running 1/2 marathons or 10Ks, I would definitely go up a size to account for foot swelling and wider, flatter feet. Black is a pretty neutral color, and these are not flashy like some of those combo Chernobyl Orange and Three Mile Island Green designs of the past. Modest for work, and functional for LISS, dog walking, hill walking, and treadmill at the gym. A couple weeks in and the "There's Something About Mary" smile white of the midsole and sole are definitely showing the dirty world I tread. However, the soles are holding up pretty well so far. We will see if these wear in the usual spots for an overpronating dude of 6'3". Happy with my purchase, better price than any local running shoe store.

My first pair of Saucony, a friend recommended 👌, very light weight and comfortable for running 🏃‍♀️ or walking. Definitely will buy them again it feels like walking on clouds, no impact so ever. Very happy with purchasing, also breathable. Highly recommended, if you are looking for comfortable this'll get the job done . Totally in love with them.
