Wasps seem to be a little more resistant to it, but do succumb to it's charms after 20-30 seconds. It seems the bigger the insect, the more resistant they are, as I had to spray a large hornet multiple times before it dropped dead on the floor. But to kill flies and bluebottles, this spray is brilliant. Use it sparingly though, because despite the pleasant smell, you don't want to be breathing this in, as it will cause breathlessness, and god knows what else if it gets in your lungs. If you can, just use short bursts directly at the insects. Only if you have a major problem should you spray into the air to treat the entire room, then you should leave the room for an hour or so, and ventilate the room when you return. It has a long lasting effect when it settles on surfaces too, and acts as a repellant for crawling insects, such as beetles, woodlice, and spiders, so you can spray it on painted or plastic surfaces, but wood may be adversely affected, so I wouldn't risk it.
