When it comes time to clean, I spray a light coating of diesel fuel all over the surface and let it sit for a minute to work through the old glue, bugs, and dust. Then I take a smooth but dull scraper and work from top down to clean the old stuff off. Once it’s all smooth again, I’ll use acetone or rubbing alcohol to clean the remaining diesel fuel off, otherwise the new glue will run and drip in the sun.
