Needed replacement filter and the connecting part, these worked as expected.

Many users complain about the design of the replacement for the "old" style Taotronic filters (held to the cap by a "clip" instead of threaded), but this package comes with the replacement cap, so you just need to be careful when placing your order and look carefully at the pictures. If you have the old style, you need THIS product, which includes one replacement cap, as they are apparently no longer making the clip-style replacement filters. If you have more than one Taotronics humidifier, you'll need one of these replacement kits for each of them.The product itself performs thus far as advertised, removing some of the stink of tap water between the tank and the humidifier. Manage your expectations, though - you still need to spend reasonable efforts cleaning both the base, the tank, and the filter on a regular basis to get the floaties and crust out of the system. It's not a miracle cure for buildup of microorganisms, just a means to buy some time between cleanings. I'd give it five stars if it meant I'd never have to clean the humidifier again, but since not, I give it four for at least letting me space out my cleanings to once a week or so.

So glad Tao Tronics changed the design of this filter and the new cap was INCLUDED with the filters. Great value when we can buy replacements for our products!

I bought these filters because after one winter season (6 month) of continues use last winter, this year, I start to notice white dust deposit everywhere in my music studio. I then bought these filters to address this problem. These filters are advertised as they demineralize tap water. So after receiving the new filters, I replaced the used one with a new one and and I made a big clean up in the studio and after a week or so, tadam, white dust every where again. maybe these filters are just fake one ??? I do not recommande.
