Attractive. I love the way it writes! - You can fly with these pens. They are very fine pointed, as well as attractive. I have been using these pens for years, and they remain my favorite pen. I have introduced them to friends and family over the years when they see me using it, and they start getting it, too. Review: Pen snob review, Triumphs replacement...finally - When Bic decided to stop producing the Triumph .5 pen I was enormously bummed. I do a lot of writing and that was the best pen I ever used. I searched and tried a ton of different pens trying to find something as good. It was a constant let-down and waste of money. Most extra fine pens are either to rough to use or lack the needle tip for the best experience. When I found the Pilot Precise P-500 expectations were low since no other .5 pen I had tried was even tolerable. I was incredibly pleased with this pen. Not only does it have the correct needle tip, but it also writes pretty darn smooth. So much so that I have put away the last couple Triumphs I still have left. I now use this pen almost exclusively. If your a very picky pen snob that needs a very fine, needle tip pen to replace the Triumph....this is the best you will find. I found them to have a very brief break-in period before it's smooth writing. I have found one so far that doesn't write as smooth as I want. But even the Triumph had a bad pen or two in a box of 12. It's no small feat for a manufacturer to produce such a fine needle tip that also writes smooth. Pilot managed to crack the secret with this pen. I HIGHLY recommend them. ## Features - Premium Gel Pens: Combining the smoothness of roller balls with the high-quality ink of ballpoints, these gel roller pens offer the best of both worlds - effortless writing and consistent ink flow - Patented Precise Point Technology: These Pilot Precise pens feature a precision tip that delivers clean and accurate lines every time, making your writing or creativity come to life with remarkable detail - Archival-Safe & Smudge-Proof Ink: These gel ink pens use waterproof and acid-free gel ink to prevent your records from fading, so your writings and artwork stay in excellent condition for years; smear and smudge-resistant ink ensures neat documents - Versatile: Perfect blue pens for journaling, taking notes, and jotting down grocery lists; Writes smooth for a polished writing, drawing, designing, sketching, or doodling experience - Power to the Pen: Express yourself effortlessly with Pilot's line of innovative writing tools, including Pilot gel pens, erasable, rolling ball, ballpoint, and fountain pens & dry erase markers & more ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00006JNJK | | Additional Features | Waterproof | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #51,754 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #1,043 in Gel Ink Pens | | Body Shape | Round | | Brand | PILOT | | Brand Name | PILOT | | Closure Type | Retractable | | Color | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,387 Reviews | | Drill Point | Extra Fine | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00072838386014 | | Grip Type | Ribbed | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Hardness | HB | | Ink Base | Water | | Ink Color | Blue | | Item Diameter | 0.5 millimeters | | Item Dimensions | 3 x 1 x 5.5 inches | | Item Type Name | Rollerball Pen | | Item Weight | 4.64 ounces | | Line Size | 0.50 Pen | | Manufacturer | Pilot Pen Corporation of America | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Precise P-500 Gel Extra Fine Point 12-Pack | | Model Number | 38601 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Writing | | Style | Extra Fine Point | | UPC | 072838386014 | | Unit Count | 12 Count | | Warranty Description | Contact Manufacturer | | Writing Instrument Form | Roller Ball Pen | | Writing Technique | Gel Ink, Rollerball | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** PILOT - **Color:** Blue - **Ink Color:** Blue - **Writing Instrument Form:** Roller Ball Pen ## Images ![Precise P-700 Rolling Ball Stick Pens, 0.7mm, Blue, 12-Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81swwmd1zBL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the ink show through on the other side of the page, on ordinary lined paper?** A: No, the ink does not bleed onto the other side of the page. I have written on both sides of a paper and have had no problem. The Pilot Precise P-500 is my preferred pen to use. The point is very fine. In fact I purchase them in boxes of 12 and think they are worth the price. I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily. **Q: Are these pens safe for photographs?** A: They claim to be acid-free! Scroll down to see description here http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/384588/Pilot-P-500-Gel-Ink-Rollerball/ **Q: How many pens come with this purchase?** A: 6 pens come in the box. **Q: What's the difference between the P-500 and V5?** A: The V5 writes 100% smoother for .05 tip and smaller. The P500 has a longer thinner needle point, so if you write harder, the needle point is a lot easier to bend or make misshapen. If you like to (or need to) write small, the P500 is good for that. This is just my opinion as someone who owns enough pens to fill a pen store (including the 2 styles mentioned here) :) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very fine pointed. Attractive. Before retiring, my empolyer purchased these pens and I fell in love with them. Now I buy my own and when someone compliments me on the pen, I give them one. Each pen lasts for a long time, no smearing, no leaking. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pilot, Precise P-500 Gel Ink Rolling Ball Stick Pens, Marbled Barrel, Extra Fine Point 0.5 mm, Blue, Pack of 12 - Pilot Precise P-500 Gel Ink Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point, Black Ink, 6 Pens - Pilot Precise P-500 Gel Rolling Ball Pen, Extra Fine 10 Pens (Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.om/products/8544138-precise-p-700-rolling-ball-stick-pens-0-7mm-blue](https://www.desertcart.com.om/products/8544138-precise-p-700-rolling-ball-stick-pens-0-7mm-blue) --- *Product available on Desertcart Oman* *Store origin: OM* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
