Almost perfect
(I bought this product on Amazon in May 2016, but only started to use it in November 2016)This is a lovely looking shadow box. It looks like it should be more expensive than it is. The depth is good without being too deep. I am using it to display my pets' paw print plaster castings. I do have 2 to 3 issues with it that make it a bit less useful for me:1) As another review mentioned, the inner edge of the frame has another frame sitting inside of it. I believe it makes the overall box much stronger and holds in the glass well, which is handy since the only way to access the box is by removing the back. However, it does use up about 1/2 of useable space on each edge. It doesn't seem like it would be much, but it results in my not being able to fit as many casts as I had hoped. The inner frame is removable, but I would be concerned that it would affect the stability of the box in general.2) My bigger gripe is with the backing board. The product description mentions that the backing is made of cork to assist in securing the pins. However, the backing is 4 layers: linen fabric, cork layer, styrofoam then hard fiber board. The fiber board is too hard to push the pins into it, so the pins only attach to the fabric/cork/styrofoam. The cork layer and styrofoam layer together are about 1/4 inch deep, but the cork is at most 1/3 of that 1/4. This means that the majority of the pin metal is attaching to styrofoam which isn't very strong.3) In addition, the styrofoam/cork board's thickness is problematic. The metal portion of the push pins that are included in the package (and ordinary office-supply push pins) is longer than the 1/4" that the styro/cork backing is, so they don't hold well.In order to make this work, I will likely have to buy a separate thicker cork board to replace the styrofoam/cork backing. I am afraid that the paw print casts could fall forward and break if I rely on the mostly styrofoam backing to hold the pins in place.Depending on the cost of the additional cork board & labor to remove the styrofoam, this shadow box might still be worth the inexpensive purchase price charged.

Works to display collectible pins
I bought this to display my daughter's pins. I expected to be able to remove the fabric padding in order to push the backs of the pins onto their posts. However, the padding is glued to the hard board that is the back of the frame, with a layer of very stiff foam sandwiched in between. Just pressing the pins in worked, even without being able to secure them from behind; the pins pushed in firmly enough that they do not fall out.The only other drawback is that it arrived with 4 push pins already pushed into the display area. Removing those leaves visible marks/holes. I was able to cover them with the items I was displaying, but it will depend what you are displaying.

NOT GLASS: They changed this product so it's way cheaper
I've been buying this exact frame for a couple of years now, and have always loved them. But the most recent batch of them I purchased were manufactured much more cheaply than they had been in the past. I literally used the "reorder this item" button on Amazon, and there was no indication on the product page that the item had changed. But they made everything just a little cheaper, so the overall product is now pretty crappy:1. They used to have actual glass, now it's a cheap piece of not-quite-plexiglass that's permanently fixed in place, really flimsy, and gets scuff marks on it from even a paper towel.2. The surround insert that used to hold the glass in place (and was removable) is now only half the depth of the frame and is nailed in place in a way that you can see the dots of nail heads on the inside edges even when the piece is hanging on the wall.3. There used to be 8 fasteners in the back holding the actual linen board in place, and now it's only 4.

Exactly what I was looking for
I love to scrapbook, but I never look at the books once they are finished. I decided instead to "scrapbook" into a shadowbox and see how I liked it. I went to see a play and bought a cheap shadowbox at Wal-Mart. I liked it. I went to Universal and bought another shadowbox from Amazon. I liked that one, too. Then, I took my daughter to the Strawberry Festival and bought this shadowbox. I LOVED it! Then backing is thick corkboard, so the pins go into it straight instead of at an angle like to other two I bought with thin cork and cardboard backing. Everything stays put, and I didn't realize how big a difference that size makes (11x14 instead of the 12x12 I had been using) until I finished that one. So I came back and ordered two more for my trip to St. Augustine. I do not regret it. I love these shadowboxes! They are durable, hang easily, look beautiful and are EXACTLY what I wanted. My house is gonna be one giant scrapbook and I LOVE it!!

Impressive Quality - Phenomenal Price
I purchased this shadow box to put a collection of Trump campaign buttons for my brother for Christmas. This shadow box was well made and very classic looking (it will definitely go with several different home decors).1. The frame was well made - it did not pull away at the seams, no scratches, and looked very expensive.2. The frame board was covered in a tightly woven linen fabric - it was tightly stretched so no bubbling for wrinkling. It was easy to remove from the frame and easy to reinstall once the buttons were attached.3. The button attached well onto the frame board - I did have to apply some glue to each button, however, I think that was more the nature of the buttons versus the quality of the frame board.4. The glass was thin but not not flimsy - it arrived in great condition and was not scratched or chipped.I highly recommend this shadow box - the quality was impressive especially considering the price was phenomenal.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I'm glad I measured before I ordered or I would have gone with one that was shorter. The quality is fine, it looks great up on the wall with an award in it.

No muy buenos terminados.
De lejos tiene muy buen aspecto, pero por el precio, un marco de pvc con no muy buenos terminados se me hizo caro.
