CAT & MOMMY APPROVED
My cat was on Hills Prescription K/D for the past 4.5 years, but grew bored no matter what yummiest topping I used. So, I decided on Purina versus Royal Canine (UTI), because though the ingredients are animal by products, it's without wheat gluten or peas as fillers. And, also cheaper. My sweet baby boy looooves his new food. Loves all the flavors, though his favorite are both of the shredded chicken and turkey, with lots of gravy.

Vet- and Cat-approved
One of our three family cats - found with their mother and two siblings as strays on our back porch not quite three years ago. We didn't meant to have *any* cats, let alone three, but what can you do? - developed a urinary tract blockage in March. Within two days he went from being just as healthy as his sisters to near death. The emergency vet we took him to first couldn't really do much for him at their office and referred us to another amazing, if expensive, vet. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, they were not capable to monitor him overnight, so to a 24-hour vet he went. This back and forth continued for days. Fortunately, surgery saved our boy, but keeping our goofball healthy in the now and in the future means keeping him on a specialty diet for the rest of his life.We ended up choosing this food quite by accident, but we're thankful for it all the same. It was one of three recommendations from his vet and was the only one in stock at the pet store when we went to pick some up the day he came home. He enjoyed the salmon flavor at first, but once he tried the chicken entrée he refused to settle for anything else. None of the stores around us in our very large city carry the large cases in anything but the variety pack, so to the internet we came. The food comes right to our door within a few days of ordering and has been out of stock only once.I probably would have thought this food inferior to the other brands based on the price points, but he remains as healthy as can be on it, so I've done my best to retrain my bias. We've only just added the dry food from this line into his diet - we soak it in a few tablespoons of water to soften it and add more hydration - but he seems to be just as crazy about that.If your cat has suffered any from a urinary blockage I highly recommend this food. Check your preconceived notions at the door, but do be prepared for a finicky palate. Our boy doesn't seem to get tired of the same thing everyday, so hopefully if your cat is as picky as ours they'll also be as tolerant!

Like most other reviewers will tell you
Like most other reviewers will tell you, if your cat has urinary tract issues, GET THIS. Not only is it pretty cheap (somewhere between $16-$20 for a 24 count; it seems to fluctuate), but it completely eliminates urinary tract crystals. Now, I'm no vet, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm simply another satisfied customer with fantastic results from switching to this food for my cat. You won't find a better deal for urinary tract health food out there, with much of it costing 2-3 times as much. Of course, if your vet prescribes something, listen to your vet, but barring that (or if you want another type of food to supplement with), this is your answer. Hell, I used to just give this to my cat on the weekends and that alone seemed to solve her problems (she was on Blue Buffalo dry food during the week). But after over 6 months accident free, it happened again and I decided to use this full time. No issues since then (it's been close to a year now). Whether this becomes supplementary or a complete replacement for your cat's diet is up to you and your cat, but I can personally attest to its success. It's also worth mentioning that my cat LOVES this food. When I just fed her on weekends, I could literally see her disappointment whenever I went back to dry food on weekdays. In fact, it got to the point where she would refuse the food outright at first (but eventually ate it because, well, she was hungry). I've even tried other wet foods with her and while she'll eat them, she always seems more hesitant. This, on the other hand, I can't even get into her bowl without her trying to wriggle between my legs or nudge my hands out of the way to get at it. Impatient is an understatement.Save yourself the trouble of constantly washing sheets, cushions, and carpets, and save your cat the pain and stress that comes with urinary tract issues. Just give this a try at least. I'm only so adamant because I love my cat and I suffered with her through all the complications of this for nearly a year before getting a proper diagnosis from a vet and finding the answer in this food. If you love your cat as much as I love mine (I'm sure you do), then I know how important finding a solution to this can be both for your cat's health and well-being, but your own. No one wants to wash sheets at midnight when you work the next day because you waited too long to check for accidents, and no animal should rightly suffer just to endure normal bodily functions.
