bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream SPF 30

I can't express how much I love this product. BareMinerals has always been a sort of hit and miss for me. This product exceeded all of my expectations, it's actually the first makeup that I buy back-ups of. I have fairly persistent acne problems (I'm 25), it has always been an issue finding a product that I can wear to look like I gave a crap about myself without looking like I was covered in makeup (light but durable coverage has always been an issue). One of my friends recommended it to me, well went passed recommending and was raving about how amazing it is. I was happy to comply, she has flawless skin. I rarely wear actual foundation, concealer, or powder anymore, unless I'm going out somewhere I've got to tart myself up a bit. I noticed a change in my bare facial complexion within days. My skin brightened up, my acne is pretty much eliminated (has no alcohol, benzo, other acne treatments in it), and my skin was noticeably soft and hydrated. Initially when I first began wearing it, I would use two layers (because of my acne), I now use what I would consider about half of a layer, very minimal coverage. For longer wear, I recommend adding an extra layer than you usually would. Something I really love about it is when you put it on, it has a kind of cooling feeling, and with this less really is more as far as application goes. When layering, allow to completely absorb into skin before applying an extra layer (for longer wear). Or you can always totally just touch up later, I just usually never have time once I'm out the door to get near a mirror or sneak off for a couple of minutes. I was able to hydrate my skin (had to day/night because of my acne treatments that would dry out my skin), without having to use daily moisturizer. I know it is a little pricey, the product on here is actually less than BareMinerals the last time I checked, but if you want to give it a shot and decide that it isn't quite the product for you, I highly recommend keeping it on hand and using it for beach days or situations like that when you may want a lighter coverage that has SPF included. When the product first launched, they hand't released a full range of colors yet. If you're unsure if this is the right shade for you, I recommend visiting the BareMinerals website, they have a color chart. I went on there and then just came on here and searched for the specific shade I was matched with there. Last I checked in, they have at least 25 listed. One last thing worth mentioning, I don't wear mine with powder, but the friend that recommended it does her entire facial makeup routine (blush, translucent powder) with hers and it looks great still.

I was a bit scared to buy this exact product due to all the reviews I’d seen saying how it’s a “dupe” product, but I got it anyway since it was the best price and only one that had my shade (vanilla). And I am impressed! I’ve tried countless tinted moisturizers/serums over the past couple of months ranging from highly rated drugstore brands to the more expensive, natural kinds and nothing has suited my dry, sensitive skin. But I love this! It gives me a natural glow and doesn’t leave me looking dry like the other ones I’ve tried, + an SPF bonus. Putting it on my skin, vanilla even looked a bit dark, but it sheers out to a beautiful tint. It is a little thicker as it technically is a sunscreen, but it doesn’t leave a white cast and hydrates. Even after I washed it off my skin was more hydrated than before. I would rate it a solid 4/5 because it did still accentuate some of my drier spots as any tint would, and I would not recommend it for oily skin as it does have a very dewy finish. Also, washing it off was a little more difficult and I did notice a bit of pilling around my fine lines. But overall, it has become my holy grail product!

I love this product so much, it’s worth the extra money. I’m lazy and it’s great to have such a simple makeup routine, the tinted moisturizer is really easy to blend with just using your hands and you can also build up coverage which is great!! i’ve also have been using the product every day for a over a month now, and i’ve hardly made a dent, a little bit of it goes a long way and I could probably see it lasting for over a year, which make the price totally worth it. Another great thing is I have extremely acne prone skin and the tinted moisturizer has never irritated my skin at all, especially compared to a normal foundation. this thing is great!!

Throughout my teens and early twenties, I forwent foundation completely. I have reasonably clear skin and my main focus was caring for the health of my skin. However, beginning in my late twenties, I decided that I needed something more. I started with tinted moisturizers and step up to foundations with their promise of perfect all day skin perfection. Foundations, no matter what brand I tried (even with primers and setting spray) would leave my skin looking streaky and patchy. Applying loose powder over it, would make it cakey and settle in my pores. So I stepped back into the tinted moisturizer game. So far, this is winning. It’s important to me that it have a strong SPF. It goes on light and evenly. Though I have used a brush in the past to apply foundations, I think that this goes on best when applied with my fingertips. It goes on smooth. It is not sticky. It doesn’t make my fingers feel slimy. There is not bad smell. It is very sheer and minimally buildable. With a second application, it brightens and evens my skin tones and decreases the noticeability of a couple of dark spots. But it does not completely cover them. If you are looking for full coverage, this is not for you. It has a dewy finish which is not my favorite but I know it’s the thing right now. I just make sure to apply powder after initially using the product that then touch it up a couple times a day with a repeat powder.As for the color, I am super pale and typically order ivory in my makeups. Without a guide available, I took a chance and ordered vanilla. It works fine. Has warm yellow undertones so if your skin is more cool tones, probably try the opal shade. Mine falls somewhere in between so I think I could maybe where either.

A very light but good coverage for a healthy glow tinted moisturizer. It’s all you need to look your best. No need of foundation or makeup with this great product.Would highly recommend it for all ages.
