Strong & Beautiful
I bought this photo album years ago to put photos in from my trip to China. I love it! It is so sturdy and holds all of the photos perfectly!

Perfect for a "Mama-razzi" who needs a ton of picture slots!! :)
If you are a "Mama-razzi" this photo album is perfect for you! I take sooooo many pictures of my kids, especially in their first few years of life, and I take advantage of Shutterfly's free prints every time they have that offer...So I needed a HUGE photo album, this one is perfect. It's durable, and has 5 picture slots per page (3 horizontal and 2 vertical), and a place to write a comment beside every picture, which is a feature I love!! It took me ages to fill it up and fill out all of the captions, but after a lot of late night sessions it's all done and now I need another one ;). If I could change anything about this photo album it would be that I wish the plastic that holds the photo down had one open end to put the picture in and one closed end so the picture wouldn't ever poke out the other side. Other than that, which isn't a big issue, I love it!

Holds so much!
I like that the album holds a lot of photos well without appearing overfilled. The space for writing captions is nice too. The picture slots are more fragile than the Pioneer albums I usually get, but since they don’t get looked through that much, I’ll probably continue to buy this model.

Great photo album for landscape AND selfie photos
I purchased this photo album because of its massive 500-photo storage capacity. It's very sturdy and comes with a clear plastic cover, so I'm not too worried about it breaking over time or getting dirty. The pages are thick and can fit 5 photos on one side. The layout is 3 landscape photos near the binding and 2 portrait photos near the edge of the page. I personally like this album because we live in the age of selfies, so it's nice that I'm able to view them without having to cock my head to the side or flip the album sideways. For those who like to write memos for when and/or where the picture was taken, there is strip of lined space in between the landscape and portrait photo layout to write. It doesn't give you much room, but it's better than nothing.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The price is decent for such a large capacity photo album.

Quality photo album
I filled it with 1500 pictures - where I doubled, trippeled even quadrupled up the slots. I also slipped in negatives when I had them. Of course I handled it with care. I open it carefully, I reposition the occasional slip of a photo, but it is a good photo album even for someone like me who filled it to the max. I just ordered another one. This time, I will only double up each slot if necessary. I will place the negatives randomly. On my first go round I still have a bulge and I simply filled it too much. This time I will only load 1000 pictures. If you are gentle and take good care of this album, it will work just fine for you. However, if you have a tendency to push, pull or rip - this is not the album for you. Out of the 500 slots, only one of them was not sealed properly.

Handsome book format but photos fall out of sleeves
I purchased this large archival photo album as a one-stop place to house printed photos from "back in the day." I appreciate the book format and note section on each page. It is easy to put the photos into each sleeve. However, if your photos are smaller than the 4 x 6" size of the sleeve, they very easily fall out from just turning a page. Photos that are 3 1/2 x 5" stay put fairly well, but anything smaller just won't stay in the sleeve. I am going to have to place a small piece of tape on each sleeve so that doesn't happen. Or just abandon the entire photo album and look for something else. Haven't decided yet. So be forewarned.

A great place for all those photos
Do you have lots of pictures in a box or maybe you are like me and you have many small family albums that have seen better days? Pioneer's high capacity photo album is an aesthetically pleasing and functional storage solution for those errant pictures and disintegrating old albums. The pages are well made and hold three horizontal pictures and two vertical ones, or any combination of smaller pictures. Some of my late 19th and early 20th century pictures are 2.25" x 2.25", so the slots fit two comfortably and hold them in place quite well. Most of my photography is in the digital realm now, but if I come upon more pictures in a box, or tattered album I would most definitely buy another one of these. Now I can see all the pictures I have, even the ones I don't really want to........a mullet with pastel pants and an argyle vest, what was I thinking in the Eighties?
